I'm usually not a very fast reader, but that book took me a week. I read about 100 pages every day, I simply couldn't put it down. YES have you seen the trailers??? It looks soooo goood.

Gran Torino was the first movie I saw by him, it was so awesome. That ending was totally unpredictable. I'm going to rent Dirty Harry and maybe some others soon.

If we're getting into a book discussion, I read Angels&Demons about a month ago. Best book I've ever read.

If I do remember correctly (it's been a while since I last studied it), the South was a bit apprehensive beforehand, and this gave them confidence in their strong leadership from Lee, Jackson, and Beauregard.

I've heard that's a great book! Let's trade!

The civil war is one of my favorite times in American History, having ancestors who fought in it and living here in Richmond where a lot of it took place. I've been to a few of the battlefields. Bull Run was where the North learned it wasn't going to be a quick war like they expected.

Oh wow. Africa is one place I've never really studied, sorry. No but I'm about to. Trust me, I've got this. I could write a whole book on procrastination, just not right now. ;) Our teacher gave us around an hour to read it in class and there were too many distractions so I slept. Grats on pulling through! I dropped it after middle school, and I'm pretty happy I did, everyone who I still talk to from those years is dieing now.

Has anyone here read "Night" by Elie Wiesel? Well I haven't, and I've got a fifteen page report on it due tomorrow. One part of it is naming 5 songs that would go well in a soundtrack for it. HELP

Well to be honest, they do. It's actually really impressive that you were just a part of it. As far as learning is concerned, I don't think I learned much more than I would have at a regular school. In fact, I don't learn much at school at all, I'm more of an autodidact than anything. Don't forget to join clubs/do community service, that helps a whole lot.

Wow your english is great for an 8th greater from Serbia! :) Same here, I was in the IB program. Such a waste of time.

I've come to learn that teachers in high school have an uncanny ability to make as little sense as possible. 80% of them are just here to make your life miserable.

UGH sorry. :embarassed: Well if it makes you feel any better I knew every person who died in the seventh book before it even came out, and still loved it. I WILL MAKE IT UP TO YOU I SWEAR.

Thanks for reminding me I have a 10 page report due for English tomorrow, which I have put off until tonight of course.

"Lost+" just flat out ruined "Lost!" for me. At first "Lost!" was probably my least favorite song on that album (along with 42), then Jay-Z came in and made it even worse.

I was thinking of that haha. She's pretty awesome. Take My Hand, Life for Rent, and Thank You are all great songs.
