As for myself, we were lucky in eastern Australia in that the whole Violet Hill epidemic occurred at a reasonable hour (9:00PM-ish). I was sitting on my bed in complete darkness listening to the live radio stream from the UK. I was so hyped that my heart wouldn't stop beating for about 2 hours afterwards! :D :P Such great memories! :laugh3:

Exactly one year ago, BBC6 Music and XFM radio were preparing to air the world premiere of Coldplay's newest single, Violet Hill. Chris and Jonny were in the radio studio and had brought the song with them, ready for it to be unleashed for the very first time. The song was aired and so a new era for Coldplay had begun. 15 minutes later, the song was ready for download on the all-new Coldplay.com - and it all began. -- Who has great memories of this event? :D

Ahhh, good luck everyone. Oh how I envy you all with your plans to fly from all over the world just to be there. :D I found out that I actually have school off on that day (pupil free day or something). Makes the whole thing even worse. :shocked3:

I got truly into them around the time of the release of Speed Of Sound, in 2005. I was completely OBSESSED with that song at the time. Later I bought X&Y and the rest is history! :D
