  1. They played 1-2 less songs than usual. I was really expecting Don't Panic and/or Magic.... and we got neither. :/ Christmas Lights was a nice unexpected encore, but I'd still probably give it a 7/10. They've been better.
  2. Do people really care about critic reviews this much? Isn't your own opinion more important to you than some newspaper/magazine writer? If you think this is their best album since AROBTTH, then it is. If you think this is their worst album overall, then it is. Critic reviews are useful for discovering new artists or albums to listen to. For a band the scale of Coldplay, people aren't going to change their listening or purchasing behaviour just because they read a not-so-great review. At this point, people already have a pretty strong opinion on whether they like this band or not.
  3. According to GS liner notes this is called 'The Fourth State II'.
  4. I have 2 hard-copy tickets to this show ("Oval A General Admission"). I am looking for someone with 2 "Oval A General Admission" tickets for show the following night (Sunday, 18th of November) who would like to do a face-to-face swap somewhere in the CBD as I can no longer attend on this date. Hard copy tickets only (no print-at-home tickets please) Please PM me and I will respond ASAP. Thanks! :)
  5. I have 2 hard-copy tickets to the Sydney show on Saturday the 17th of November ("Oval A General Admission"). 6. I'm not sure. This is certainly intriguing though. That graffiti must be more than just a coincidence.

Was just thinking that! Would not be surprised at all...
  8. It's actually dropped down 2 to #18 now. :\ That's okay, this country has always had a shocking (and American-dominated) taste in music. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3::laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:
  9. Nah, from about 6 months before the release of VLVODAAHF we were getting titles dropped at us just like this too. These may not make the final LP5 tracklist but the songs are definitely confirmed to exist. (omg this is my first forum post in 7 months o_O)
  10. Ah, no problemo. ;) Finally: directions! (sorry about the delay) Take the subway to Roppongi Station. Head towards Roppongi Hills (approx. a 6 minute walk). Find an information map and locate where the "TV Asahi" building is. Counter Void lies on the corner outside this building. (Thank you Google Maps/Streetview! :P) Compare this image to the above and you'll see it's definitely the same place! :) I hope that all made sense and good luck to anyone who chooses to go there! :P
  11. To clarify why the numbers are inverted from the infamous Coldplay pics: I hope that clears that question! :D Sorry, but no...
  12. Ahh... The person in the photo is actually me. Sadly it's not the same pose as the band did. This was my last night in Tokyo though, I'm flying back home tomorrow afternoon! :( LOL. Aaaand I'll post precise directions and address when I get back home on Sunday morning.
  13. I have no idea if this has been posted before... I'm in Tokyo, Japan at the moment, and look what I found...! http://twitpic.com/1ea8x9 Looks familiar, doesn't it? :P If anyone wants details on how to get there I'd be happy to post directions.
  14. I believe you mean, The World Turned Upside Down?
  15. snore Come here, oh my ______ is fading
  16. This list makes me bow my head in shame. The top 10 really does show us what "mainstream listeners" really think of the band, though. It is interesting to note that the two highest ranked non-singles were the bookends of AROBTTH.
  17. I don't know why, but I kind of see them pulling a Radiohead - releasing the album for free for the first week or so on their website. We shall soon find out, I suppose. :sneaky:
  18. Great. More negative press for the band.
  19. Wow. March really was amazing. The best month of my year. Thanks for sparking the memories... The Viva Tour and Sound Relief were spectacular.
  20. Wow! Good find, though I doubt this will ever happen... Seems like it really was cancelled.
  21. The band would never release a self-titled studio LP... I also believe that no more than 2 or 3 of these mentioned songs have a chance at making it onto the final album. These are still the very, very early stages. ;)
  22. Really glad to see that Famous Old Painters is still alive and well! It's amusing that so many people are so excited for this particular song considering that we barely know anything of it excluding the its title. Great Expectations and Harmony both appeared written on the piano in the 60 Minutes special from earlier this year, so those songs have been around for a while too, it seems.
  23. All aboard the 'blame Coldplay' bandwagon!
  24. Yeah, heard about this. Well considering that I was there, this is a MUST HAVE. However it's really disappointing only 3/7 made the cut, I don't quite understand why some artists got 7+ songs and some more popular acts only got 2 or 3...
  25. Please remove me from the list, I have now obtained myself a copy.
