  1. I think this album takes some getting used to, just like Sam's Town after Hot Fuss. I was initially not that impressed, but now think it's brilliant. I think a lot of people won't like it at first because for the most part there's less guitar and a slower pace than either of their previous two. But after listening a few times, the music is great and the lyrics are actually pretty good if you take the time to interpret them. I think a lot of the reviews indicate this, some think it's great and others think it's crap. Giving it some time, most people will move towards the thinking it's great category. On the first listen, the album almost seems a bit boring because it slows down toward the end and it's hard to stay focused. After a few listens though, I find the album gets even better with the later songs. So, like I said, I think it's great, and it's definitely their most consistently good album so far.
  2. I've been resisting the temptation and only listened to the songs that they've performed live so far, so at least 5/10 will be new to me. But ya Losing Touch sounds amazing, I can't wait to play it on guitar hero too :). I can't wait to hear the other two you mentioned, everyone has been saying how good they sound
  3. You can listen to one-minute clips from Day & Age here
  4. How do you know you don't like it if you heard a few seconds of it once and changed the channel "instantly" On a related note, I'd say in general it's pretty hard to say how good/bad a song is going to be based on a 30-second preview, especially with the Killers.. try picking 30 second clips from anything on Sam's Town that represent the entire song
  5. I agree that it's Poppy Fields, not Prospekts March.. the Viva booklet listed "I don't want to lie on my own in a seperate sky..." as a lyric for Poppy Fields, and since that lyric is contained in this clip it seems likely that this is in fact Poppy Fields
