coldplay live on radio 2 this afternoon, Front Row R4 this evening
Being a huge fan of the Beatles, i remember reading John Lennon was not at all a fan of interviews. One of his main reasons for hating interviews was having to explain himself and his choices or lyrics to an old and out of the loop man who thought they understood what music was about. Perhaps Chris felt the same way with this interviewer in that the interviewer did not truly get the essence of what the music is about and made ignorant assumptions on everything to do with the album.

What Happened to Will?
I love what Chris said in what i think might've been the Q interview? Not sure. But anyways he said that Will was the most important part when recording the album because if he's not into it, the song doesn't work. He's got to be into it for anything to move foward. Anyways i can definitely tell that Will's into these songs ha.

What Happened to Will?
I totally agree. Being a drummer myself i always find myself listening to the subtle accents in the drumming from bands. In this album Will really really shines. I'm usually listening to hear something different rather than a steady rock drum beat and he's gone way beyond with this. It's nice to hear variation in rhythm at least from a band many people would consider mainstream. Favorites from Will on this album are: Cemeteries 42 Strawberry Swing But we all know every song is stellar. :)

Which color/flavor do you think tries to represent each Viva La Vida Song?
What color is each song to you? I remember Chris saying that they were experimenting with a lot more colors. I haven't seen this yet so i was wondering what you all think each song's color is! Here's what i think: Life In Technicolor - Rainbow Cemeteries of London - Gray Lost! - Green 42 - Blue LiJ/ROL - Purple/White Yes/CSC - Yellow/Orange Viva la Vida - Red Violet Hill - Violet of course! Strawberry Swing - Pink Death and all His Friends/Escapist - White/Rainbow

Yes
ahaha i love that.

Viva La Vida Madness
Absolutely. There's always gonna be discussions on the little details of this album in the future from the way Chris sang a line, the feeling a song may give you or the fantastic production job Brian Eno did. So i guess what i'm saying is...WE HAVE GOT A TON TO TALK ABOUT PEOPLE! haha

Viva La Vida Madness
Haha it's funny Hotplay007 because i've been doing the same thing. I've been checking this forum for several months and the Coldplay excitement and anticipation had been building unbelievably. I'm ashamed that i didn't become a member way back then but i'm here now and it's a ton of fun! Nothin' better than discussing your love of a band and their music with so many other people who feel the same way

Viva La Vida Madness
Yea i agree. Sometimes the anticipation can be agonizing but i think that's also half the fun!

Viva La Vida Madness
Oh and hey, according to Chris in that Q interview, they'll have an album out by the end of next year! Now that would just blow my mind! That'd really be something..

Viva La Vida Madness
Well i know i'm gonna buy the cd, enjoy the artwork, see them live, follow every promotion, watch all their tv appearances and then finally say, "hey this band bores me." haha kidding! I'll probably just listen to Viva la Vida again and again and again and maybe even again.

Lovers in Japan
It's too close to call for me. I think it really depends on your mood in comparing the acoustic and studio versions. The studio version is so atmospheric and is so joyous while the acoustic has more emotion to me. I could go for either at any time but i think if i wanted to connect with the lyrics more, i'd go for the acoustic.
