Yes (Chinese Sleep Chant)

Anyone know of good videos/ audio for Yes? I can't find anything else though! Seems like they didn't play it live so much :( What a great song though.

Usually I'm good at singing Coldplay. When I first heard YES, I took it as a challenge. A challenge I have thus far lost though.. The first verse really knocks the wind out of me. Lines like "sin stay gone" and "i'm just so tired of this loneliness (first chorus) " are just beyond me. It's frustrating, cuz this really is my favourite song on the album. :angry: I can sing the song perfectly from the second verse onward into the sleep chant, though. But that first verse and chorus.. alas

I need the lyrics of these lives, cause the lyrics sounds a little bit different, I don't know if Chris says "Sleep" or "Sleep you". Then, I don't understand so well. u.u Chris adds some more words like "Follow me", "Rescue me" and others... Can anyone try backmasking Chinese Sleep Chant? I mean, since the lyrics are so hard to understand, why hasn't anyone had a go at backmasking?

This is the type of song that Coldplay need more of...a song that has fantastic performances from each member...the drumming and bass are spectacular...and its not based around a string section or a piano riff...hallelujah! This song probably flies way over the head of the "Female Teenage Angst Club" that are Coldplay's vocal fan-base majority, which is no surprise. This song has HEART and SOUL something that Coldplay need more of these days.....and its about SEX...mega lyrics that dont spout insecure pretentiousness.....even better! 10/10

First of all I don't expect anyone to be able to answer these questions because I haven't seen or found anything about the three minute instrumental tune that plays on Yes after they sing the song. So, I was cleaning my room with the door open, and I was listening to Viva la Vida. My mom passed by my door and Yes was on. She goes, "Is that Coldplay?" And I go "Yeah, the new Album." And my mom went "Wow, Chris Martin sounds sexy. He's always so sweet-sounding, I didn't think he had it in him. So do any of you guys have any idea why they chose to make Chinese Sleep Chant a hidden track? Let alone have it in the middle of the album? Also, has any of you found a connection between Yes and Chinese sleep chant? Anyway, I'm glad they decided to make it this way.

I put the TV on VH1's countdown today and I was thinking; " man , these songs are boring stuff, you know what this needs, it needs some Coldplay " I think YES is a great song ( all 7 minutes of it ), and it would make an epic video. I remember in the first month of having the album, I almost ran my voice dry, trying to sing that song ( i just can't keep up that low-octave without going breathless ! ) What do you think ? Can I just say that this song is really, really, growing on me. Not so much the Chinese Sleep Chant part - which I don't mind really either - but the beginning with all the wacky violin stuff. The first few times I listen to this album I kept skipping Yes, but now I skip to Yes. It's just awesome. Sorry, just had to let that one out. Theres a Lyric, "Wheter Your Wills anybodys guess" Maybe hes talking about sleeping with Wills wife Marianne. It is a sex song so who knows.

1:29 before Yes/CSC ends there is a low voice saying "GO TO SLEEP" and it repeats..and chris martin is singing "sleep satisfied or wahtever he's saying" i noticed this right now cause i was falling asleep and i could just hear that deep voice telling me to fall asleep! i thought i was dreaming but i rewing it and i was right!

So after listening to the Amazon trailer, I must say that I think “YES” is a brilliant song! I just love it and can’t wait to hear the full version.
