details for tonights show: DJ from 8-820 830-9 opening band 920-1040-coldplay

i went to see the cure friday night at msg and asked some guys working security about the show monday. they said they will be adding people to check ids and keep things straight...

interesting they switched the piano around. i have been to 13 shows and its always been the other way...cool though regardless.

ok, heres a question for all you guys. need some advice. somehow, 3 of us all won tickets and since i was the one to tell my friends about this contest, i get to choose the best of the 3 sets....all of which are ok, but not fantastic..not complaining, but its not an easy call. section 220, row b section 211, row d section 228, row a i think that section 220 might be pretty good, but he faces his piano the other way usually and then i am going to be looking at his back....not a huge deal. i think 211 may be a little bit behind the stage and 228 is a bit far off... anyone with a few minutes, take a look at the seating chart and give me your honest opinion. thanks http://www.madisonsquaregarden.com/seating/index.html

friend of mine just got an email 10 minutes ago saying he is getting 2 tickets. he called to verify and they told him he is in section 211...kind of behind/side of stage....

i got 2 in section 228....not too pumped on the seats but they are in the first row... nyc radio stations are all giving tickets away .92.3 were giving away 1 ticket at a time??..i will put money on it that they are getting all the good seats...total garbage. this puts a bad taste in my mouth. also, there are a million people on craigslist selling tickets for 500 plus....no one is stopping them even though they said they would....how could they anyway...

i won, live in nyc (walking distance to the show) and am a huge fan. i have seen them 13 times live and am so excited. everyone i told said, i should be the one that gets the tickets. my fear is that msg is way bigger than 7000 seats, so, the place is going to be filled up with a bunch of music biz people who are not fans and thats going to soften the excitement. i saw the buzz show in boston at avalon a few years back and that was like 1000 people and was amazing. then 3 nights later they did the show at the beacon in nyc and it was all industry heads and it was a weak show...partially due to the whole aol camerals all over the stage and whatnot. regardless, i will be freaking out!

yesterday at 12:42 pm. that was the second email with the correct date. first one was like an hour earlier with the wrong date.
