The OFFICIAL Coldplay FanFic Thread: LATEST UPDATES Okay, I thought I would just compile this sort of update to remind people of the changes happening to the OFFICIAL Coldplay FanFic Thread in the next few weeks and months. Now, Cobalt (The amazing Emma!), created an archive for FanFics a while back (It's amazing with loads of nice reads!), But because of days away, masses of FanFics being produced and backlogs it has been almost impossible to update!. We would like to get this back on track slowly and surely and one way you can help us is by sending me the page numbers and names for your FanFic which havn't been archived so we can start up the archive again! So send this imformation by Private Message to either me or Cobalt. Thanks alot. If you havn't noticed- THIS THREAD IS MASSIVE!. To further the help in archiving on August 1st we will be creating a brand new overflow thread! From August 1st ALL NEW FANFICS MUST BE POSTED IN THERE!. If you have fanfics left in this thread, feel free to finish them off in the old thread! Now we all know Coldplayers are the best people! (Chris Martin said it himself, he said he's biased but he's definetely right! :P) Anyway, one thing the great man said that Coldplayers are TALENTED! They definetely are, you can see this from the amazing FanFics. Some people put alot of effort into these FanFics and some are masterpieces! That's why the 'OFFICIAL Coldplay FanFic Awards' are being introduced to award these great authors and FanFics. NOW, We Can't have nominations for EVERY story, that's why if you think your fanfic (or someone elses!) is worthy of an award, NOMINATE IT! Everyone can nominate something in EVERY award catagory. To give us time, the catagory's will be announced on SEPTEMBER 1ST. Nominations will be in by OCTOBER 1ST. Each catagory will be narrowed down to Four by a series of Polls which will end on NOVEMBER 1ST. And then voting will begin! VOTING WILL BE FINISHED ON DECEMBER 1ST and The WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED about Christmas time alongside the Coldplaying awards. Let me know what you think about this and if you have any suggestions for catagory's, PM me! You have loads of time :), And even if you don't get a nomination for anything, you can present an award or help with the counting- Something like that! I hope this covers everything and everyone understands what is going on! While I hope to have the FanFic awards beside the Coldplaying awards, it will let people read FanFics when they normally wouldn't go near the FanFic thread! (Silly people!)

jknc! I have just started reading your stuff (sorry I havn't before :( ) and I really have to say they are FANTASTIC! MAGICAL! :D

I don't think the band will be annoyed if they find out actually! They want to give their fans music, and obviously they can't give their fans every song which has been written, and if these songs were never going to be used (not like any of them are going to be released as paid-for singles), then why should they oppose? They'd be happy to know that their fans are enjoying songs which they didn't think were good enough :D

It was nice being involved with the build-up to Manchester but I'm afraid that I am NOT going anymore. I just can't sort out a place to stay when I get there :( Plus I am only 15, I would be travelling on my own and I have never been to Manchester before. I will have to sell my ticket :(, Chris said he would buy it off me, so I will have to check with him again ;) On Coldplay's next tour I WILL go, so Watch Out Coldplay! :P I hope everyone enjoys the concert :D :D :D :D :D :D

I think Coldplay appreciate how CRAZY us fans are to hear new music, and I can't see why they would be bothered, it's not like it's a new single which they would release for MONEY, it's old songs which we probabbly wouldn't hear if it wasn't for this leak :)

it's looking increasingly likely that I won't get to see Coldplay in Manchester in September and that's why I hope they do a tour in 2010, but because they have been touring for two years, I doubt they will :(. So....I hope they have an album out in 2010, and tour late 2010 or 2011 :), Because I REALLY NEED to see them :P :D EDIT: January would be great, it's my birthday then :D

Just read a review for Take That's new single, Said It All....this is the review with a CERTAIN reference... http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a158078/take-that-said-it-all.html Take That probably have a wider fanbase now than in their mid-'90s heyday. The release of Beautiful World in 2006 and last year's The Circus even won them respect from the sort of critics who previously claimed that 'Back For Good' was the band's only work of note. What they've lost in teen adoration they've gained in mums - and dads - picking up their CDs at Asda, and 'Said It All' will certainly keep these fans happy. Sadly, the opening piano chords, the plaintive "oooh"s, the string-heavy chorus and the quasi-deep break-up lyrics make this sound completely indistinguishable from any recent Coldplay single. Even the melody sounds as though Chris Martin's lot could have stolen written it themselves. It's a slab of mature manband pop that would never have a video featuring the jelly and bare-bottom mix of the group's iconic 1991 'Do What U Like' clip. What's disappointing is that in both their early days ('Pray', 'Never Forget'), and since their comeback ('Patience', 'Rule The World'), Take That have shown they can be so much more than just MOR supermarket fodder. ======================================================== Some people....:uneasy:
