IQ Mag: Coldplay Return to US in 2009!!
England, hands down. Believe me, you'll be happy that you chose it. Coldplay will be back, but a trip like that is always unique!

IQ Mag: Coldplay Return to US in 2009!!
I know I shouldn't say this here, but I think the only thing I'd ever choose over a Coldplay concert is a trip to England. So I would choose that one, to be honest! (Not to be completely obnoxious, but I get both this summer! I'm in Oxford for July, and then Coldplay's in Boston the day after I get back *feels awful for bringing that up, but it was such a coincidence*)

06-Feb-09: Anchorman's Big Announcement Party Thread (North America Tour dates 2009)
Haha, SO TRUE! It's been torture these past few months hearing about everyone going to Wembley, and knowing that I couldn't go! :bomb: :P

06-Feb-09: Anchorman's Big Announcement Party Thread (North America Tour dates 2009)
... I was jealous of every date that was announced in the stadium tour because I wanted to go... I think that's probably true for everyone, we all care about new dates regardless of where they are because we all want to go :P Lore, you know they're going to go to Latin America sometime in the next 9 months. They're not going to skip an entire continent.

06-Feb-09: Anchorman's Big Announcement Party Thread (North America Tour dates 2009)
No, I understand all that, but I'm saying that they're obviously going to a lot more places that just haven't been announced yet, but they're probably not going anywhere else in North America. So I don't think people can freak out about what they don't know yet (ie the venues left to be announced in 09), whereas North Americans probably can start saying "oh, they're not coming here" because this is probably it in North America. I'm just saying that we have no idea what non-American dates are coming up, but we do know that they're coming, so people shouldn't jump to conclusions yet. And not everyone can "just take a bus/plane", I know I wouldn't be able to if they weren't playing near me. I know it sucks, but we still don't have the whole picture. And if America is giving them the most money, obviously their tour managers have to send them there, no matter where the band wants to go. It's just a fact of life, and I don't think anyone involved enjoys it, but that's the entertainment business.

06-Feb-09: Anchorman's Big Announcement Party Thread (North America Tour dates 2009)
I understand that it's unbalanced, and I totally sympathize, but I don't think that anyone can say "what about coming to ______?" yet, except for the North Americans left out of this new tour. Because they're obviously going to a shitload of places this year :P It's just a matter of announcing them...

How about everyone just stops? Seriously guys, if they're about to tour for 9 months, you really think they're going to skip South America that whole time? We don't know what's going to be announced on Monday. We still don't know where they're playing in April, May, June, October, November, or December. I bet you guys anything that there will be a South American tour, along with others. I think the only people who can be upset about the tour news at this point are the North Americans who don't have dates near them this time around, because this is probably it for North America for Viva la Vida. I do agree that the whole "we have big news" thing was not their best move.

IQ Mag: Coldplay Return to US in 2009!!
I live in MA during the summer, so this is actually extremely perfect for me :\ Much, much better than if they came to DC! And it's 1 day after I get home to MA from England- I can't believe it all worked out, again! :stunned: But I feel so terrible that none of my Coldplaying friends can go to any of the concerts! :bigcry: :bigcry:

06-Feb-09: Anchorman's Big Announcement Party Thread (North America Tour dates 2009)
Thanks guys  And Cris, I'm almost positive that you'll get a concert- they can't tour for 9 months and not go to South America! And Makayla, you'll get a concert one day too :nice: I just can't believe that this worked out again! Last summer I was in the UK for all of July, and they rescheduled the concert for the night I got home, 8/3, and I just barely made it. Now I'm going back to the UK for all of this coming July, and this time they're playing 1 day after I get home, 8/3 (again :P). The only two times I've ever been lucky, ever!

Can someone reassure me that I'll be able to get tickets? I mean, if I get them right at 10AM, I should be okay, right? :uhoh:
