  1. They can't sell out in the presale because although it's no problem finding out the link and presale password, they only allocate a certain % of the tickets for presale. So the presale will sell out at some point if it hasn't already done so yet. Anyway, got my ticket :D Standing. Me and one of my mates going, can't wait!! See everyone there!!
  2. Yeah it went out a few days ago. You only need to link and presale password though.
  3. You should get the link in the email sent out to you if you're on the mailing list. Along with the password to use when you click that link on thursday at 09.30 I rang up Ticketmaster (After getting redirected to about 8 different ticketmaster helplines :laugh3: ) and they said that there will be standing tickets for the MEN Arena. After the last tour, I seriously thought it would be all seated again. He also said he didn't know what prices the tickets were etc. So we still don't know which prices are which for what seats/standing etc. Please let me know if anyone finds out :) Thanks.
  4. Will we know before tickets go on sale about whether the floor will be all seated or not? When I saw them on the Viva tour at the Liverpool Echo Arena, it was all seated on the floor. Thing is, I want to book tickets with a mate. If they do standing, we both just buy our own tickets separately. But if it's all seated, we'd have to buy together. How can we find this out? I'll send some emails to MEN Arena people.
  5. Don't see why having a repetitive sound makes it bad? Clocks is a classic song that has the same piano part pretty much all the way through. I really like Paradise. Took me about 7 listens to get into it. It's really good to escape to. Again, I'm not a fan of the lyrics but there are tons of great songs with nonsensical or shit lyrics. The start is fantastic. It sounds huge. I think as an instrumental it would be brilliant. My only real critical comment would be I think Chris' voice doesn't fit perfectly into it. The way he sings on songs like Amsterdam or Moving to Mars would be a better way to sing it IMO.
  6. I just used the shazam app on my phone. (For those unfamiliar with shazam - http://www.shazam.com) Told me that song is "When Love Takes Over (Electro Extended mix) by David Guetta Feat. Kelly Rowland. As it happens, I remember the Oracle answering a question about the original version of "Wheb Love Takes Over" by Guetta and KR, because it sounds alot like clocks. Interesting. Anyway, pretty easy to work out it wasn't from paradise if you've heard the 30 second preview.
  7. Ah cheers, I did look for another thread but couldn't find one. Exciting to hear anyway!
  8. I was just watching the footy on sky sports 2 (Aston Villa v Wolves) and at the end when they were showing the premier league table, I recognised the song that they were playing in the background. I rewound it and listened again and it was unmistakably the main riff from Charlie Brown, and it wasn't a live version, it was very much a studio version of the track. It was only on for about 7 or 8 seconds so the riff was the only part that could be heard, but anyway, very exciting to hear a bit of it as what may be the finished version. Anyone else hear it? Keep an ear out whenever you're watching Sky sports because they'll probably be using it again in similar situations. I'll try get a video of it up as soon as I can so I can show you anyway.
  9. One thing that strikes me with all the new material is how much more upbeat they sound. Not necessarily saying I've been waiting for that from them, but since I don't think they'll make a better classic coldplay record than A rush of blood, I think a new direction is the best thing to do. I can't bloody wait to get my hands on the next lp, and if there are 7 songs already prepared for live performances then surely it can't be that long from being finished. 10th October, if that is true, seems too long to wait!!!!
  10. Just talked to my mum and she said think about getting a coach from chester to London through the night. Get on the coach at midnight, sleep on the coach until it got there at about half 6, get up and waste some time walking around london until we had to get to the tv centre. Then waste some more time afterwards until we get the coach home. Sounds like a decent day out for about £30-35max Hope my mate decides he's up for it otherwise i'm on my own and i wouldnt be going.
  11. Just about to book my train tickets now. What time is everyone planning on getting there? Would 12 be too late do you think? It's just that train tickets from Chester to London are about £200 for 2 people (the ones that arrive from the first thing in the morning right up to 11am) and the the one that arrives at 11:38 is the earliest fair priced one really (£66 for 2 people) Return tickets are no problem, doesn't bother me to wait a few hours for the same price return. Just don't want to spend this money on a train ticket to get there and find out that i'm too late! Please help someone, I rang the BBC number on the ticket and she said just get there as early as i can. What time is everyone planning on getting to the BBC television centre?
  12. I just talked to my mum, she said she doesn't want me to miss it so she might pay for my train ticket :D If it's just them on for an hour (roughly), i reckon once they've got christmas lights recorded they'd play 1 or 2 others for the crowd. I'm sure it would be only 1 take for them to get the song and they'll do all the setting stuff up beforehand. So an hour seems like a long time for 1 song. Looking forward to it alot now :D
  13. Dam, I got my tickets but i can't afford the train fare! Might see if I can get someone to give me a lift! My mum travels to London alot for work and might be going there next week, hope i can go! p.s. If I can't go, can I give them to someone else on this forum or are they the type of ticket that you can only use yourself due to your name being on them? Would be a shame to waste them :(
  14. Bit of interesting maths in the release dates. I looked at the average number of days between album releases, and found it was 964 days. That means a good estimate for the release of LP5 would be 31 January 2011 I reckon that's probably about the time it will be released aswell, even though there are so many other factors involved.
