  1. I love the new Coldplay album, but songs like Shiver and In My Place will always be up there with my faves because there's nice a balance between formula and intricacy (and melody of course)... The only way i could fault the new album is to say that perhaps too much of a weight has been put on the intricacies. Narration i think also have that balance down to a T. lamorna x
  2. Hey! I think that most Coldplay fans should like them! They are a bit rockier, but the also do softer songs. I think they can cover both sides of music.... Maybe not the heavy metal fans. lol... But maybe. Have you seen their youtube videos? Search youtube for narration music. There's a song called New York City which i think is the closest to Coldplay. Lamorna x
  3. Thanks a lot for listening to them Nash. I'm glad you like the songs. They're even better live. Where do you live? Lamorna x
  4. I saw Narration for the first time a year ago at Water Rats in London, and i can't get enough of them. They are amazing live, and the tracks on their MySpace are soooooo good. Please please please have a listen to them if you can. More people need to hear about them (they're unsigned). I've spoken to the guys a few times and they're all really nice. I asked, and apparently Coldplay are one of their biggest influences. http://www.myspace.com/narrationmusic Let me know what you think of them! Lamorna x
  5. There have obviously been a lot of influences on Viva La Vida. Many talk about the hip-hop beats. I'm not the biggest hip-hop fan, but as a closet Paul Simon fan (blame my dad), i wasn't at all surprised to hear Chris Martin mention 'Graceland' on the interview with Zane Lowe on Radio 1. I think its these kinds of interesting rythms and beats that make songs like Lost quite so original - in modern music anyway! And perhaps why i also prefer the album version to the acoustic version... I'm new to this forum, so maybe its already been mentioned. But has anyone else thought this? Lamorna
  6. My name is Lamorna, and i'm from Richmond in South West London. I've been a massive Coldplay fan for years now, but whilst most of my friends are only into heavy music (which i like some of lol), i'm the only one who likes Coldplay... Find some new friends maybe hee hee. Jus wanted to come on here and chat about one of my fave bands ever... So Hi! Lots of love, Lamorna x
