OMG, I read this and looked at the time and it was 9:42. BTW, does anyone know who Roadie #42 is?
  2. Did any LA people hear Chris on Ryan Seacrest/KIIS FM this morning? I started a new thread in the Coldplay section with some tidbits from what I heard on the interview on my way to work.
  3. Awesome! Chris Martin was just on KIIS FM w/ Ryan Seacrest. He's probably making his way over to studios now?
  4. Maybe, he read a bad review?
  5. Oh, and then Ryan played the clip from the Today show from a couple of weeks ago where CM said that Ryan designed their costumes. CM said, "You told us not to say anything!"
  6. What a great way to start my morning! A few tidbits: * Ryan mentioned that he liked the Starbucks joke (venti vs. grande) and Chris said he was glad because it is difficult to be funny in front of a whole bunch of people. * Chris thought the Monday night encore was much better than the one on Tuesday. * He didn't walk out when Ryan started asking personal questions. Ryan asked whether the family is with him when they are on the road and CM replied that given their busy schedules, sometimes they are together and sometimes not. Then he went on to say that sometimes when your father is a musician, it is better not to be around him for a couple of days. * When some fans got on the phone with him, CM was very appreciative of their praise and said, "For reasons I cannot divulge this morning, this means a lot to me." (Something to that effect.)
  7. Did anyone listen in on KIIS FM this morning? Chris Martin was on Ryan Seacrest's morning show. As per usual, he was in typical interviewing form - facetious and funny. http://ryan.kiisfm.com/cc-common/losangeles/podcast/onair.html
  8. I went to the 7/15/08 concert at the Forum all by myself. Went with my DH and cousin on 7/14/08 and it was soo amazingly awesome that I found myself searching for a ticket online the next morning, with DH's blessing of course. Vegas is calling my name now! I've come to the realization that Coldplay is now like Paris to me - the more times I go, the more I get obsessed!
  9. Thanks for the tip, Starbucked. I personally felt that the 7/14/08 crowd should've been granted "venti" honors.
  10. I'm embarrassed, I said they didn't play Spiderwebs, but of course, I meant Trouble. Great photos from everyone!
  11. I tried reporting live before the show, but kept on getting booted from the site on my iPhone . I was on the floor this time, in the last row, aisle seat. Far cry from last night's colonnade 26! The show was just as awesome as last night. The only difference in the setlist (I think) was that they swapped Spiderwebs for What If. I would've preferred to hear SpiderWebs again. Tonight, the show started at 9:15, twenty minutes earlier than last night. It seemed like they let out more confetti butterflies tonight too, but that observation may've just been due to my closer proximity to them. I hear that Chris Martin will be on Ryan Seacrest tomorrow morning, is that true?
  12. We exited around 7:45 pm and got out of our car almost an hour later. I think I'm going to try coming from the 110 today. Does anyone have any other ideas?
  13. lilylove, parking is $22 if you are in the immediate parking lot surrounding the forum. It's $20 for the other parking lot, which is about a 10-minute walk to the Forum. I'm going to try to get there early tonight too. Last night, it took us 45 minutes to do less than 2 miles to get to the Forum once we exited from the 405.
  14. The encore was #10 on Viva La Vida, Death and All of His Friends. Awesome show! I am exhausted and will have to get up in about five hours, but I just wanted to share some random tidbits: Chris Martin really enunciated the "x" in "fox" in "Violet Hill." "The Scientist" brought me to tears, since it was the first time I heard it live since we've been married (I walked down the aisle to it). The acoustic version of "Yellow" was amazing. For those of you going to the show tomorrow, they will be going up to colonnade 5 to perform this part. CM seemed to get a kick out of everyone singing along to "Violet Hill," b/c after the song (the second one on the set list), he said, "I can tell this is going to be a great show." The official program ($20) contains lyrics to all songs in Viva La Vida! All hotdog carts in the parking lot are not created equal. Viva la Coldplay!!!
  15. Awesome! Thanks, tentoizzymon! I figure that there might be some kinks, given that this is the first show.
  16. Does anyone have an idea what time Coldplay will actually be on stage? Tickets say 7:30, and the rule is usually one hour after that right?! We're trying to sort out rides and stuff, so if anyone has the answer to this question, it would be a great help! Thanks!
  17. What time do you think the band will actually come on stage? If we get to the Forum at 8:30pm, will we be in good shape?
  18. WOO HOO!!! Six days to go, baby! We're stuck in colonnade 26 in the teens. Does anyone know whether we'll be able to completely see the band from these seats? The map on ticketmaster wasn't very elucidating. I'm with all of you who tried getting tickets for the 15th and noticed some funky ticketmastering stuff going on. But we get to be the first people to see them on their official tour!!! I've been foregoing my daily French lessons on the way to work to alternate between Parachutes, Rush of Blood to the Head, and X&Y (giving Viva la Vida a rest for now). See you all there!
  19. Actually, I think that some of his recent dance moves are influenced by hip hop. This was apparent during the BBC performance.

Hi, David! Nice to meet someone from admin!
  21. Thanks to everyone who has been so generous to share their photographs and experiences from the Today show performance.
  22. Good stuff, that Chris Rock. I actually think that Chris Martin kept on harping on the "free" aspect of the show as an apology for their (his) many mess-ups. Sort of like, "Sorry that we're messing up tonight, but hey, it's FREE!"
