I know that it is considered to be "friendlier" to call someone by their real name on this forum, but people who become friends on other forums do call each other by their usernames (or shortened versions, as I said). People don't need to be called by their real names on forums to be friendly.

To be honest, I don't see why it's such a big deal that she chooses to be called by her username. I have been to plenty of forums where people are called by their username (often a shortened version of it). I don't think that I've ever been to a forum as "into" calling people by their real names as this one. Usernames exist for a reason, yes?

I think a lot less people use AIM these days than they used to. All the "cool kids" seem to be primarily using FaceBook and that shit.
