  1. I emailed all of my pics of the acoustic set (not 10 feet from my seats) to myself and, not surprisingly, they're pretty damn blurry/grainy. Oh, well, I suppose that's what I deserve for carrying around a 5-year old cellphone. :furious: I'll upload them to Photobucket later and post the best one or two here just in case anyone's interested.

Thanks! I'm also a big fan of Kimi Raikkonen.
  3. Leasing works kind of like a long-term rental. You put a little bit down ($2K or so). Your payments are a bit cheaper than the monthly payments on a straight purchase. The term of your lease is usually 36 months. There will be a milage restriction/penalty. At the end of your lease, you can give them the keys and walk away. Or you can buy it for a pre-negotiated price (the "residual value"). Leases are good for people who want a new car every 3 years or so and for people who don't put a lot of miles on a vehicle. I've leased my last two vehicles ('05 Honda Pilot and '08 Subaru Tribeca) and I'll probably continue to do so.
  4. I think it's a general warning to any and all politicians out there that people can turn on you in a heartbeat. And the life of a dethroned/disgraced politician sometimes ain't all that grand. And even while you're in power you have to deal with lies ("...never an honest word...") and people pulling at you from every direction (...puppet on a string/who would want to be king...?") It's a sad, yet brilliant song that anyone cnsidering a life of politics should heed. The first time I heard this song I immediately thought of this monologue from the movie Patton: "For over a thousand years Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of triumph, a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeteers, musicians and strange animals from conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conquerors rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children robed in white stood with him in the chariot or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror holding a golden crown and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting."- Gen. George C. Patton
  5. Sorry. It wasn't a song that I recognized. Maybe someone else who was at the show can jump in with some details. IIRC it was a slower number. Maybe just Chris on the piano.
  6. Just got back and it was awesome. Can't recall the entire set list, but it seems to more or less mirror the ones from the previous dates in other cities. They did play a song early on (I don't recall the name) and Chris said something to the effect of "First time in America for that one." Coolest part was that my wife and I were literally 5 feet from the little stage they set up out in the audience ("The Scientist" performance). Wooooooo!!!! And I got a high-5 from Chris as he ran back to the big stage. :D Got some cool pics on my cell phone camera. Mostly of the backs of their heads, but some profile pictures. Now, if I can just figure out how to get them from my camera to a computer.....
  7. Kind of sad to not see "Swallowed In the Sea" and "Til Kingdom Come" on the set list. I was really hoping to hear those two. (I'll keep my fingers crossed that Carlaatje is right and they add a couple tonight.) Still looking forward to a great concert tonight!
  8. ugadawg5 - you don't happen to post on Igottarant.com, do you?
  9. Was looking for a forum to get a little background info on tonight's show in K.C. and I stumbled upon this place. Tonight will be my first Coldplay concert. Been a fan for about a year now. Mostly like late 70s/early 80s rock and pop (Bowie, Duran, Queen, INXS, the Smiths, etc.) but I'm also digging some newer bands like the Killers, Keane and the Arcade Fire. I also like Formula 1 racing, wine, UGA football and history. Stay-at-home dad by day. Bartender by night.
  10. First time poster here. I'll be at the K.C. show tonight. First Coldplay concert and I can't wait! Section 105, Row 26 Anyone know what the set list will be like? Does Coldplay tend to play the same songs at each show during a tour or do they change up the set list each night? Pretty new to the Coldplay scene. I fell in love with them when I happened to watch their Storytellers show on MHD about a year ago.
