  1. The June 26 sale is on now. Go to 'toyotacenter.com" for sale of tix.:)
  2. Please DO NOT DO THE DUET Coldplay. 1. You need NO ONE to have a duet with. 2. Any duet cheapens Coldplay the group. 3. After Rihannas grotesque appearance as of late, Coldplay SHOULD NOT associate themselves with her.:shocked2: 4. Coldplay and JayZ duet was a flop as well. :o Coldplay- stick to who you are. Don't cheapen yourself. NO -DUET's , please ....:)
  3. Scalping One thing I was sad to see during the ticket sale was that on Monday 12-12-11 , by dark that night there were about 100 tickets for this show on eBay. Scalpers. People making money, just to be making money. AmExp was suppose to be a way for the fans to get good tix but instead it also serves as an avenue for others to try and scalp for a $$... This to me is disgusting. I saw $99 ($120) tickets on eBay going for $3,000 for a group of 4 tix. I hope they don't sell and the buyer has to eat them. In Texas you can NOT show up at the venue and sell them outside the theatre.... Fast check last night there are over 400 tickets on eBay for this show........:\
  4. Got 10 tix I bought 10 tickets thru the AmExpress presale on Monday 12-12-11 just after the box office opened. There was a 4 day presale for AmExp card members at ToyotaCenter.com....Then a 1 day LiveNation presale if you had the password ... I am a LiveNation member but did NOT GET a passowrd, good thing I had an AmExp card....... I was able to buy 4 seats in section 123, 4 seats in section 103 and 2 tickets in section 118......forgot the row / seat numbers..... Took all day b/c I had to make 3 different transactions (4 seats per transaction)...I was able to get all the $99 seats that quickly turned into $120 seats with all the add-ons.. I am taking my grand daughters, my daughters and my daughters-in-law (9 total) to the show, this is our 6th show and my 7th show along with my youngest daughter. We became fans together (Sarah and me) in 2003 (?) when Coldplay wasn't known much ,they came to the Sanger Theatre in New Orleans,Louisiana where she and I went to see them. Since, we haven't missed a show. This will be our 4th Coldplay show in Texas, we live in and near Baton Rouge, La.......You guess it, I'm an old fart- 58 years old and can rock with the best of you young whipper-snappers. Look for us at the show,we'll probably arrive by stretch Limo (again) like the last show at Toyota Center....One thing I promise you is that all my girls are excited and looking forward to this show, as well as I .....see you there.
  5. Thanx for the effort, but its not happenin. Too far away. Great video's b/t/way. :)
  6. If anyone has a video of the group on B stage, please post it?!?!?! Trying to find one ,my grand daughter may possibly be in it and I would like to preserve it for the future. Thanks if you can help. :D (we were positioned one level down -in the walkway- from the stage. )
  7. I read your blog. You are "ate up with it" just like my group! The costume was a fantastic idea, wish I had thought of that. But then had I wore it, people would KNOW I was crazy- a 56 yo man in a costume as such ...whehhhh:D We had 2 rooms at the Marriott, had we known you were in the parking lot sweltering in the heat, you could have chilled with us. My daughters and grand daughter would have liked that. Maybe next time? :) We made the last Houton show in November 08, made the New Orleans show last month and the Woodlands last Wednesday. They were all great shows, but forced to choose one- I'd take Houston this week. Only downside was the heat. You blog is great, sorry to ramble on. ;)
  8. I had 4 tixs for the 109 section, literally 10 ft from the mid-audience stage. We had only 2 of our group sitting there (the others were in 103BB with me) and we chose to leave the other 2 seats vacant in 109 b/c we could not sell them. I actually sent my 11 yo grand daughter into section 109 before the concert to see if they were better seats, she declined & came back to sit with me in 103BB. Well, when Coldplay went to the mid section to play, she was crying b/c she would have been 10 ft from them. :( I was able to bring her right up and below them about 15 ft away. SHE MELTED away as they sang.:D:):D My daughter (her mother) was in section 109 and melted also as they watched them play so close...... During the concert I was able to catch a yellow baloon and let he knock it back up. Of course, she caught a few butterflies also. This was her 3rd Coldplay concert, and by far, her best.It just dont get any better than this folks. Long after I'm gone she'll remember this night, as will I to the end. Oh yea, the others in our group gave it 5 stars too. The only negative to the night was the heat in the Pavilion, it was still hot at the end. :( I personally rocked so HARD that i dislodged a tooth crown and have been in pain till this am when I went to my dentist for relief. And I'd do it agin in a heartbeat. Praising Coldplay on this site is preaching to the choir, but, heck, they ARE the best. Lookin forward to our next concert. My grand daughter will be with me then too. :D Cheers !
  9. Nice report ^ ^ ^ Personally prefer if Coldplay would leave other artist out of their program- you can not better superiority, just let Coldplay do it's own thing. ;) Does washing/waxing the Yukon today for Wednesday's trek count as being excited for this concert? :stunned: Whatever, I'm knee deep in detergent and wax:\ and lovin it.:smug: The iPod is so loud I would make my grand daughter turn it down by 1/2 if it was hers ! Wednesday will be here in a blink hope to c u all there. Look for me and my group of girls, I'll be the old man with a cane.......:P
  10. Play list? Without readin all 280+ previous postings, does anyone know if there is a playlist out there for the CWP show? :) I am in hopes they will slip in a few different songs from past albums. In my opinion, 99% of all thier songs are great and since I've seen the current tour 2 times already, I'm hoping there will be something different added. Like : LOW Proof Shiver spies high speed rush of blood you get the idea. This will be my 5th show to see this group and I'm already making plans to see number 6.......:D
  11. I do not remember the umbrella use at the Toyota Center in Houston last November 18th. I could be wrong since my seats were so fricking far from the stage (floor seats, all the way to the back) that I was hardly able to make out people up there!:laugh3:
  12. By my cell phone clock they started at 8:56 , the concert ended at 10:51. I would be there asap if I were you so that you dont miss a single minute. It's an AMAZING show. :)
  13. Your review is very good. I am pissed at security too for what they did to your sister & her balloon. For Pete's sake, its a BALLOON. Overall, I think they did a good job, but it only takes one instance such as yours to spoil an otherwise wonderful night.Try to keep in mind these people are very low paid workers.:laugh3: Thanks for clearing up the VIP seating, next time I will still try for those seats and watch my girls melt away.:)
  14. tixs anyone? I will have as many as 4 tix together in the covered section (cynthia woods)for sale this week.email if interested b4 i list them on ebay. only looking for my money back ,not making a profit. first come, first served.
  15. VIP SEATING I wanted to address this VIP seating thing we all discussed on this thread earlier. We had seats in Floor A,row 7 & 8. and Floor B row 6.... The actual seating last night was a VIP A section and a VIP B section starting at the stage. Each of those 2 sections had 8 rows with 14 seats in each row. 112 seats X 2 or 224 seats UP FRONT AND CLOSE.(an expanded pit???).......These VIP seats started at the stage and worked back. Behind these VIP sections were the "STANDARD" floor seats . Obviously you can not buy these VIP seats, or am I wrong? If someone knows a way to get these seats, please drop me a PM or email. About the gig they did up in the bleachers- I counted 2 songs and a funny. The cell phone wave was great also........ :)
  16. a review its the morning after, and my head is still singing. My god, what a concert. Howling (?) Bells started the show. Very good group, loved the music. Snow Patrol came next. Why don't I have their cd's? This is a really good group. I will buy their music today............... ............................... .............................................and then.......................... C_O_L_D_P_L_A_Y !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to sum it in 2 words: Totally Awesome Each gig they do is full of energy, they draw in the crowd, the visuals are wonderful and of course, the music is what brought me there. There were no disappointments last night. My 11 year old grand daughter even got to touch Chris Martin. That look on her face was worth all the money spent . Then she proclaimed she wasn't going to wash that hand for a month....Can YOU remeber those times? I do not remember the play list to report to you. Sorry, but at 56 I'm allowed. Can tell you I heard nothing new, but am sure there will be soon. The balloons, the butterflies, the show. Going again in July to the Houston show and I'm already packed my bags for that. Bringing all my girls with me.
  17. YES It's here people! Daughters coming to pick me up now so we can start the journey ( 1 hour) to the arena. Yep, we gonna be early for those row 7 seats !:laugh3: The 2003 Sanger Theater was my first time to see this outstanding group. Tonite is my 4th Coldplay concert with an encore in Houston next month! Cant believe its finally here.:) By the way, an outdoor concert tonight in New Orleans would be in a heat oven.I'm thanking them for being inside.;) Tomorrow I will give a review if anyone is interested.
  18. YIPEEE !!! from your comments I gather the first 10 rows are VIP, row 11 starts the "standard" seating. That being the case (I know, its an assumption) then I have 4 seats in the VIP section, FLR A row 8 and FLR B row 7......:) I would imagine the demarcation between the 2 sections is probably an aisle,a rope border or something similar. One thing is for sure, we'll find out in just a few days.:P Thanks for the info you acquired.
  19. Looks like we'll have as many as 4 tickets for sale for the HOUSTON show in July. Anyone interested send me an email. Cynthia Woods -covered seats. Thanks for the reply on VIP seats. We'll find out in less then 2 weeks! :)
  20. couple questions- could you tell us what is the difference in VIP seats and non VIP ? Is Floor B better than A, or a personal choice for the move? Thanks. We have seats in Floor A and in Floor B, both are non VIP and was wondering the difference- if any. Thanks for any comments you may have.:) We are SO PUMPED and cant stand the wait. :D:D
  21. And the free CD's Looks like we'll be getting a free CD to boot? :) Does anyone know if this is a sell-out performance?
  22. me alone? Things I dont understand- Coldplay:cool:
  23. Hello to you ! Have been listening to this group for several years now. My youngest daughter turned me on to this group with a concert that she & I went to in New Orleans about 5 years ago.Since then I can not get away from Coldplay music and their concerts, everything else seems blahhhhhh. :laugh3: May I suggest a few of my favorites? Proof Things I dont understand A Message Clocks Death & All His Friends Lovers In Japan Hope you enjoy their music 1/2 as much as I do. (I may be old, but my music is young at heart) :)
  24. Well, that suxs. bought 4 tix as soon as TM released tix for sale, within 2 minutes of TM opening to presale, I was checking out and payed for them. You would think the VIP tixs would be offered at the presale. I am in Floor A row 7 and 8, so I will assume that means at the back of section Floor A. Pobly around row 17 and 18 or even further back. I am NOT happy with this outcome. If site admins are reading this, count me as PISSED OFF.
