  1. Those are all great ideas! haha If Will is your guy, you'll have to wish him happy birthday, since it's sometime soon, I think. You should make him a card or bring him a present. You'll have to think of something really special so that #1, he'll want to keep it, and #2, he'll think you're cool and want to be your friend! hahaha I'm all giddy with the thought of pretending to meet them! I hope you have such an awesome time. :)
  2. I'm on the floor as well, but I'm not exactly sure where my seats are. I have to check and then I'll post where they are. If I'm anywhere near you, I'll make sure the crowd is into it and you can have a good time. :) That is absolutely amazing that you get to meet them!! You'll HAVE to post everything that happens and any pictures you might get. Have you thought about what you're going to say to them? I think I'd just scream, then maybe faint, and when I came to, hopefully they'd still be there...hahah Then I could express my undying love for them as my husband waits in the wings...hahah Hopefully, your experience will be much better. :)
  3. YAY! I am soo happy you're bringing your son! I LOVE family concert time! I took my parents, husband, my brother and his wife, and my other brother and his girlfriend to the Pittsburgh show in May and now they are ALL life-long Coldplay fans....no joke. My parents call me everyday with a new Coldplay factoid they found out or a new song they love. Before the concert, the only songs they liked were VLV and Till Kingdom Come - now they love them all. Your son will be so lucky that he knows all the words for the concert. That's the one regret my parents said they had. With all of us there, we'll make sure the concert is AMAZING for you and your son. Where are your seats?
  4. I am SOOO down with a Viva or Coldplay chant! And, we HAVE to make sure everyone keeps up the O-O-O's after Viva to help get Chris back up. HOLY CRAPP!!! SOOO CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!! :laugh3:
  5. Hi, everyone! I'm not really sure what I'm doing...I clicked to start a new thread...was that right?? haha Oh, well...I'm newish.... Glad to meet everyone! :D
  6. I actually think I'm in section A2? I can't remember...I have to check my tickets...I have them locked away so I don't lose them...hahah As far as glowsticks go, I didn't think about checking to see if we're allowed to bring them....I think I just have a t on of different colored glowsticks. SSOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!:juggle::wideeyed::clap::chris::will::phil::guy::jonny:
  7. Just FYI - I went to this super cheap store by me and found a TON of glowstick supplies. I bought a pack of 50 glow bracelets, which might look cool when waving our hands around. If you run into me at the concert (I think I'm a few rows behind the pit near the B stage), feel free to take one for yourself. :)
  8. So, what's all this talk about glow sticks?? :) Are we bringing glow sticks so we can be like a giant sea of light out in the lawn? haha Is anyone wearing anything special? I think I'm going to make a t-shirt, but I wanted to see if anyone was trying to do a "white-out" or anything...have the whole crowd wear white or some other color that our boys would quickly notice from the stage.... ???
  9. I just bought tickets today for this show...I've seen three VLV shows so far and am flying to CA with my husband next week to see another one...I seriously cannot get enough...I totally wish I could go to Europe too but I can't... :(
  10. Oh, my goodness...I cannot believe how close we are to this concert right now...my husband and I fly in Thursday night and spend Friday sightseeing...then Saturday rocking out! haha Do you think the boys will be hanging out around town, since they're playing a bunch of shows in California so close together? Has anyone ever had any luck hanging out and meeting them either before or after the shows?
  11. I saw them in DC inside and I've seen them twice outside now and they are AMAZING outside...the crowd is SO much huger and everyone is sooo sooo into it. I've seen probably over 50 concerts of all different acts and I've got to say that this last Coldplay show I went to (outside) was BY FAR the best...all the effects are still there and are still awesome...I was worried about it too, but the crowd is so much bigger and so enthusiastic that it is just unbelievable...take your daughter...she'll love it.
  12. Okay...here are some: You know you're addicted to Coldplay when you practice Chris Martin's dance moves in your house... or when you have to differentiate between Chris (your husband) and Chris (Mr. Martin) because you talk about Coldplay so much or when you have a freak attack when you're missing a Coldplay cd or when you make your own t-shirts with subtle messages in them that only other Coldplay-obsessed people would know or when you talk about so much it comes up with you coworkers and clients...hahaha oops!
  13. So...less than a month away now....what are the plans? Are we still doing glow sticks? How about clothing...anyone wearing anything special? I'm sooo pumped for this show!!! :D
  14. So...is anyone else totally bummed about the concert being over? I keep reliving it in my head and can't believe how amazing it was. I've been to a ton of concert (only 3 Coldplay) and this was BY FAR the best I've ever seen. So sad it's over...I have no awesome posts to look forward to on this thread now. :(
  15. YOU ARE AMAZZIING!! If I knew you better, I'd tell you I love you right now! haha Thank you soo much. I was so bummed because they looked so crappy being so small. Now, they look all awesome. Thank you! :laugh3::lol:
  16. Success!! Here are some more! I'm new to this, so I apologize that they're a bit out of order... Enjoy!
  17. D'oh! Let's try this again... lh6.ggpht.com/_Ybu-dzOd02E/SiRgcqlvS8I/AAAAAAAAAHk/-UlOWRH7Bwc/s144/coldplay%20in%20pittsburgh%20059.JPG
  18. Here are some pictures from the lawn...my camera has great zoom...here they are! :D
  19. Anyone know how to upload pics directly to the gallery for this show? I'll post my pics here in a minute, but I just was curious. Thanks!!
  20. btw, I saw Chris's underwear peeking out of his pants when he right in front of me (at least methinks that's what it was?). They were black with white polkadots. !! :D
  21. Thank you! I totally forgot to say that I nwo consider myself a "friend" of Chris's and Johnny's. hahah During "Green Eyes," Chris said "my green eyes" and looked at Johnny. I was trying to explain it to my mom, who was up at the metal railing with me, so I yelled,"That's because Johnny has green eyes!" as if she didn't get it. hahah About thirty seconds later, I saw Chris say that exact same thing to Johnny and they laughed!!! So....because I made them laugh, the three of us are now officially friends...or at least that's the story I'm going with. :D
  22. Pittsburgh Review, 5-30-09 Let me just start by saying that this was one of the absolute greatest nights of my life. I convinced almost my whole family to come (husband, mom, dad, brother, brother's girlfriend, other brother, sister-in-law) because I knew how amazing they were after seeing them in DC on Halloween. We got there early to tailgate but the parking lot was closed, so we got turned away and found a crappy dirt road to cook out on - class Pennsylvania style :). Once we got into the lot, my husband and I ran to the gate to wait for them to open. We had lawn seats, so every member of my family was instructed to RUN on to the part of the lawn nearest the front and throw their bodies down to block anyone else from sitting there. This would have worked, too, had it not been for me sighting the "C" stage on the lawn. I threw my blankets down in front of it and called my whole family over. As soon as the concert started, we stepped up and were leaning on the metal fence that surrounded their small stage the whole time. When the boys ran out to the stage, we were the first line of people there. We were about four feet away from them - no joke. If they would have fallen, they would have literally fallen on top of me. Johnny leaned down and slapped my brother's hand! Then, Guy looked at my sign! I was DYING for Chris to look my way, but he kept his eyes looking out to the thousands of people far out on the lawn. I sreamed my lungs out - seriously. I would scream so loud and hard that I would run out of breath. Then, I giggled like crazy until I got my breath back. Then, I'd let out another whopper of a scream. My poor husband stood right behind me to prevent me from getting crushed into the railing. He took pictures the whole time - which I'll post soon. :) When Chris was introducing Will for DWNC, the crowd started chanting, "Let's Go Pens!" (for Pittsburgh Penguins). Chris couldn't understand what they were saying. At one point, he leaned down and asked MY BROTHER what a Pen was!!! My brother explained and then Chris asked the crowd what they were talking about on the microphone. Then, he went into, "If you're a fan of Ben's, Everybody shout Let's Go Pens!" When their set out there was done, my brother's girlfriend managed to get two guitar picks! I cannot even describe what it was like to be so close to them all on the stage in the lawn. I absolutely love the band, and am so in love with Chris. But after seeing them so close, it really humanized them all for me. I tend to think of them as these giant superheroes, but when it comes down to it they're just a bunch of guys doing what they love to do. I mean, they're someone's dad or brother or husband. It really made me see them in a different light and made me respect them a lot more as regular people, which is a great feeling. It was amazing. Chris shouted out to Pittsburgh a ton of times during the show and everyone was screaming with excitement. This was the third show I've been to of theirs and it was by far the best. You could tell they were well rested and were having a blast, even though Chris coughed really bad on the lawn stage and actually spit something up in between songs. Guess he's still recovering?? Chris told us after Fix You that that was the best he had every heard from an audience - 110%. My whole family loved it - even my parents. They're dying to do it all over again soon. It was the best night of my life and I cannot wait to go again. Thank you, COLDPLAY!!! :D
  23. Am I the only one who thnks his little tantrum was kind of funny? Only because my friend and I could see it perfectly from where we were in the bleachers and we didn't realize what was going on...just saw him kicking and throwing things, which we thought, at the time, was so endearing because it was the first time seeing him in a LONNG time....Oh, look, Chris is doing silly things on stage...that's soooo Chris....hahaha Little did we know what was really going on....I totally understand his fit, though...I'd be throwing things around had I just burned my arm on the sparkler/torch after slipping coming onstage...and after the torrential downpour with lightning everywhere...and after the hot, hot heat...and traffic....I mean, we really should have seen the fit coming, I guess... poor Chris... Let's just hope they're all well for the Pittsburgh show!! Wish me luck!! :anxious:
