I thought I read somewhere it was a vocal problem - unrelated to the burning incident in Hershey. I just hope he's better - for his sake....and maybe a little for mine. :)

I seriously have a pit in my stomach about all this. My whole family is coming from all over PA and MD to this show. He'll have Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night to get better. Hopefully, that'll do the trick!

I know! I hope he gets better incredibly quick. I was at the Hershey show when he burned himself, but this sounds like a different ailment.

The doors open at 6:30, I think. I'm going to try to get there around 3 or so to hang out for a bit. I just went to the Hershey show (really good, BTW), and my whole family is going to this one. Talked them into going....got tix on the lawn...not the greatest seats, but at least we're in the door and can dance our butts off. should be a good time.

So, you're going to the Carson show in July! That's awesome, as I am as well. :) Were you in Hershey, too? That would be crazy. :)

And I was there around 2:00...around 3:30ish, I was at the same gate you ran to when you heard loud Coldplay music and we talked to the same exact yellow-shirted security guy...but we quickly realized there was no soundcheck...they were playing LRLRL really loudly....we walked almost the whole way around the stadium...no CP boys....they flew in on the helicopter later... I totally thought it was them, though, too...I was screaming and running across the parking lot...my friend took video of me dancing to one of the songs..then we heard a large crowd coming from inside the stage and then it suddenly paused...letting us know it was LRLRL...we even ran to the front of the stadium where paper butterflies were all over the ground and could see through the fence that there was no one on stage... bummer...

I don't know where you were...but where we were, the crowd was AWESOME! They did NOT sit down the ENTIRE show! That's the only concert I've ever been to like that. We were in Section 8 (guy's side) in the bleachers. It was SOOOO loud! I haven't heard anything that loud ever. My ears were still hurting (in a good way) today. We started the phone wave. hahah It was an awesome show. And Chris burned his forearm at the beginning of the show during LIT - I saw it right in front of us. He played through two songs and when Johnny helped him up is when he ran off stage. There was a LONG pause during this time. Will, Guy, and Johnny just kind of fiddled around on their instruments a while until Chris came back. The balloons were also being prepped for Yellow then, so it was a weird pause, but not too weird b/c you could see the balloons getting ready. IT WAS GREAAAAATT!! The band was SOOO into it. Loved it! Hope it's this good in Pittsburgh this weekend! :)

I think we should all meet up around this time to try to track the guys down. I'm wearing a home-made T shirt with splatter paint all over I think...don't know...haven't made them yet, but it will be VLV inspired. :)

When/where does this happen? My friend and I will probably be there close to two or three to tailgate...do you think it'll be after then? And where do I find a staffer?

you guys have me sooo freakin excited...I seriously cannot wait!! I'm driving about two and a half hours and jamming to my brothers from other mothers the whole time. Does anyone know if they are having any monitors at these shows? I'm so far back...my friend has the tix and I don't even know what section we're in...I just know we're in nosebleed land... BUT I WILL BE THERE!!!!!

I would probably get them. I mean, we're talking Coldplay...not Metallica. :) ..but music is loud at any concert. The only other show I've been to of Coldplay's was inside, so it was loud, and this will be outside, so it might not be AS loud, but still.. That's exciting that you're taking your daughter...she's going to LOVE it.

This is so funny - I JUST bought that same tote yesterday. hahaha

Yeah at the Verizon Center in DC they went up one section and played on the left hand side toward the back. SOOO excited!!

Yeah! I'm a teacher, so thank goodness I have off the 25th. That means I'll have a day to recover and get my act together before going in and trying to convert my kids to Coldplay fans. :)

Is anyone bringing a sign or making a shirt or anything? I think my friend and I are making shirts (with the VLV colors, of course). :)

I think the whole sign thing is a brilliant idea. Do you think they'll have that kind of stuff near the venue? It's my first time at a concert anywhere other than the DC area, so I'm not really sure what to expect. :)

That's good to know. I'll definitely check there. Are there any restrictions on bringing them in to the concert?
