Heavensbee: Were you able to get a ticket then? I actually had a Chase card and a Citi card to use and I still didn't have success. The very nice rep at Ticketmaster told me not to give up though — that tickets would continue to be released right up until the show.

I worked for over an hour to try and get even one ticket for the Beacon and finally gave up after talking to a Ticketmaster rep on the phone. I can live with not getting a ticket, small venue, one show, and all. What irks me though is to see all the tickets available through StubHub and eBay already. I saw one auction: $5,500 for a $150 orchestra seat! Is that even legal?

"Secretly Loves to Love"?? If you read this article on Coldplaying.com, it's no secret that you love Coldplay. You probably overload your Facebook page with news and posts, just like I do. There is nothing secretive in being a Coldplayer — we are the obsessive ones, and everyone knows it. It's a nice list for the radio-listening crowd, and it's hard to not love all those songs. But I agree, the true gems are found in the b-sides and all those songs very few outside of this community know by first-chord.

Holding my breath for tickets for the Toronto show that we bought through StubHub. (I'd have used the official Ticketmaster site, but I couldn't get four tickets together on a lower level.) StubHub does have a guarantee, so I would get most of my money back ... but that's the least of my worries. If I get there (7 hours from home) and can't get in, I know I will be a crying mess ... in front of my children.

Mitigating. I'm sure it has something to do with Peter Gabriel lyrics. Incendiary is also a great word. And I like to think I'm a lady, and I have no problem with the c- word.

No Christmas Lights video or song download I am in the U.S. and am getting this message on YouTube about the new video: "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by IFPI." I also am not able to find the song for download on iTunes. Has anyone heard anything? I tried to search Google for news, but didn't find anything.

it is my fear We had purchased tickets to see Coldplay in August in Mansfield MA (5 hours away) before the Hershey show (10 minutes away) was added to the calendar along with all the other dates. I love the guys and LOVED the Hershey show ... and I'm glad we went, as I fear they will tire by August. Also, I've never seen a Hershey Stadium show with so few in attendance -- I'm thinking because the Philly people had their own show, and the DC people had their own show, and the Pittsburgh people have their own show. But I give the guys credit -- they played to the crowd of 12,000 in Hershey like it was 50,000!!! Too many shows? Sadly, I do think so. Greedy? I don't agree. 1) They don't do the bookings; and 2) From how appreciative they appear to be, I think they thought it a service their audience. South America? I absolutely am pulling for you!!!!

Hershey had plenty. There were four of us at the Hershey PA concert, and we were pretty close to being the last ones out. There were plenty of CDs to be had. We each were given one. No pushing, shoving, hoarding. Was hoping to be one of the lucky 20 to get a signed CD, but am thankful for the freebie as is. No problems at this venue at all for us!!

"Who would ever want to be king?" My husband, our kids, and I are all huge CP fans. We will see them in Hershey PA this month and again in Mansfield MA later in the summer. I shared this story with my husband this morning and liked his reply so much, I wanted to share it here: --- Now wait… if Viva is a copy ripped off from Cat Stevens AND a copy of Joe Satriani’s song too… why aren’t Cat and Joe… suing each other ??? (Or at least whoever wrote the original song first?) Or isn't there enough money in that, to make it worth it? And... Cat waits to talk about this issue, until the day his own new album is coming out... Hmmm coincidental ? Isn’t this EXACTLY what is meant in Viva, when they say, “who would ever want to be king?” That as soon as you’re ‘on top’ everyone is jealous of you and wants your… head on a silver plate… ???
