I may have to go to this new show. Is anyone selling a couple of PIT tickets? I bet they can be found cheap now that they are not sure when the show will be.

We were wearing the butterfly shirt. Also, a couple of roadies ( I assume the were) saw us with our T-shirts on the way out and gave us a signed copy of LRLRL.

My girlfriend and I wore our shirts for the Charlotte gig. We were front and center and Chris pointed at us right before Lovers. He knows the shirts exist now! :D

My apologies that I haven't been able to read the whole thread since page 69. I've read bits and pieces. What I have to offer is the following picture at the end of the night from Charlotte. I saw them in Dublin and Belfast. The Dublin show did not stand out to me at all, and I was front row. We kept on getting asked to sit down by security. I had better times in Atlanta and Charlotte PITS than any arena. So I would recommend a PIT venue.

Okay, I finally get to post my review, thoughts, etc. I apologize for taking so long, but between flying back home, work, etc., I’ve been swamped. First, the pre-show. I lined up at the VIP entrance and I think it was a great idea. I had a tree w/ my gf and soon enough gmalool recognized me. I knew the yellow shirts would come in handy. We sat by the tree until about 5:20, then we lined up and were let in at about 5:35 or so. We ran to the PIT on the opposite side of the big line and I was fortunate enough to get there right at the same time as holycatfish87. I had gmalool to my left, holycatfish81 to my right and soon enough realized that jthunder and lostinreverie were right behind us. A great coldplaying crowd. I have nothing to add to the show that hasn’t been already said. Everyone has done a great job reviewing the show, but I’ll throw in my few cents. Definitely the best I have seen so far, and I will say location had a key part to it. I agree, Chris was a little slow at first, but gained energy as the show went on. He did a nice job interacting with the PIT, I thought, between the thank you from Holycatfish’s comment, to the ROBTH bit he added presumably to appease the sign holder, to the pretty girl he saw when he messed up. I was wearing the COLDPLAYING butterfly shirt for London, and he pointed my way as Lovers and Japan was beginning. I tried for a setlist, but to no avail. We lingered for a bit, bought a program, used the bathroom and slowly made our way out of the venue. On the way out I saw a couple of roadies, and I asked them for a setlist. They told me they did not have one, but since I was wearing my yellow T-shirt, they had 1 signed copy of LEFTRIGHTLEFTRIGHTLEFT that they would give either me or my gf, since she had it on too. They placed it on the ground, and since it was my birthday, she allowed me to grab it. By this time there was no one exiting, and original copies of the CD were easy to get. My whole crew got 1 a piece (we were 6 but all sitting in different spots). My thanks again to the COLPLAYERS. GMALOOL, good look at Clemson and hope you find your niche in the international trade world. HOLYCATFISH81, good luck at Auburn, and I look forward to seeing your beautiful campus when Ole Miss comes into town on Halloween. JTHUNDER, thank you for saving our spots when bathroom runs were needed. I hope you enjoyed the show, though you had to go alone. And LOSTINREVERIE, props to your mom. My mother used to drive hours for me to go to shows when I was in jr. high and high school. My mom never would go in the PIT with me though, so super props to her and let her know how much you appreciated it (I’m sure you already have). Okay a little long, but that’s all for now. I'll get there ASAP. Just checked into my hotel. I will try to get a little disposable cooler for before gates open. As mentioned, my g/f and me will be in the yellow COLDPLAYING t shirts. I did buy the VIP passes for $10. Don't know if I am going to use them.. but we will see when I get there. Party before the PIT... Party during the PIT... Party after the PIT :D

I agree. We should take over the PIT :sneaky: I'm still uncertain about purchasing the fast lane pass and just waiting in line in that entrance....

I saw where the FAST LANE part was answered. I still have not decided what to do. As for parking, it is free. If you buy VIP parking you get to be in a closer lot to the venue. Also, if you carpool w/ 4 or more people, go to the VIP lot and they will let you park adjacent to it. I don't know whether to fork out the the $10 or not.. so confusing :inquisitive:

I received an email with the links. If you believe we should buy them, then I will. I can forward you (and anyone else) the email. Just PM your address. The $5 only includes the entrance. It's more if you want access to the Club and VIP parking.

I'm definitely down for it. Also, what is this VIP fast lane ticket? I just got an email from Live Nation about it. $5 and no wait. I wonder if they get in earlier? Any ideas? I may purchase a couple. After all, I can spare $10. Also, that email said parking starts at 4. How will this effect us trying to get there at 2 or 2:30.....

Penny, You won't be able to miss us. My girlfriend and I will be wearing the Yellow London Butterfly shirts. You should come up and say hello. That goes for all other fellow coldplayers who will be lining up early for the PIT. :D I'm hoping we can all get together in line, get to know each other a bit, and get spots front and center of the pit and maybe save each others spots for the visits to the bathroom and beverage cart :)

You are very lucky!! I wish I could go to that one as well. As it seems, I hope to attend one of the London shows, though plane tickets are looking pricey. Enjoy your time with your friend and Coldplay. Also, I am very curious about the PIT. I'm starting to get nervous. My flight arrives at 11:10 AM, and then I have to check into the hotel. I was thinking getting there around 2 or 2:30. Any suggestions from the rest of the crowd? Also, JTHUNDER, I stood by the right extension in Atlanta and it was a pretty good spot. But I'm trying for front and center this time. If you and GMALOOL want to join in the wait with me, it would be nice to conversate with some folks for the hours we will be waiting to get in.

I have a question.... I am going to the show on the 18th, but do you think there will be a big difference between the shows on the 18th and 19th? I'm seeing if it's worth going to both....

I'll be in the PIT :D As for the camera... I have taken a camera to every show I've been, and used the flash without a problem. Every show I've been to, it seems the entire crowd is on their feet. Oddly enough, the only one that wasn't was in Dublin, Ireland. I think there will be no problem with standing. I'm still looking for two tickets for the sister and her b/f. They have to be cheap, so even lawn will suffice, if anybody knows of two that are out there. Been looking through craigslist and ebay, nothing cheap. Glad I got mine early :D

Also, they run about $125 or so face value after the pesty fees.

Hey man. Different venues have different policies on the PIT. First, the Pit is the way to go in my opinion to see any concert, especially Coldplay :D In Atlanta, I had E tickets for the Pit. That was a Ticketmaster event I believe. It's weird, because if you make copies of your ticket, it would let someone else in the PIT once they got in with their own ticket. I have hard tickets to the PIT in Charlotte. It's a Live Nation event. From my understanding, there were no e tickets sold for the Charlotte PIT. I would have chosen that option if available to me, because it's easier to send to someone if, worse case, I can no longer go. As for what they say on the ticket, my ticketmaster E ticket from Atlanta said Section PIT, Row P1 Seat 63. I don't have my Charlotte ticket in front of me to check. Hope this helpful.

I'm starting to debate what time to get there. I want close, but it looks like by the looks of things, the pit barely has anyone in it when the gates open. If that's the case, is 2:30 to early? I need feedback :confused: Also, you can see the stage well, since it's a small venue from the lawn. Also, be forewarned that they play a set in the lawn. Didn't mean to spoil, but it's good info to know.

I will be putting these fine T-Shirts on display next Friday in the Charlotte Pit :D

I am going to try to get there early. But I'll be driving all night, so it might be 2:30 or 3. My sister and her b/f will be on the lawn as well, and be with me I think. As mentioned earlier, hoping to bring a disposable cooler for the afternoon heat filled w/ some fun beverages :D

After I had to dip out on the Irvine show, you now must come to Charlotte to make the Coldplay karma in the universe balanced!! Ha ha.. don't know if that really made sense. I will be staying in a hotel as well, as one person asked for hotels, but I'm not sure which one. My parents are going for their first show ever, and since I bought them the tickets, they are taking care of accommodations. I am also looking for 2 more PIT tickets. Late in the game, I know, but it know looks as my sister and her b/f want to join the fun. Who am I to say they can't?
