Hi everyone, I'm sure many of you have seen my original post about this but just to fill you in - Chris Martin PERSONALLY DONATED a double platinum disc for Viva la Vida SIGNED BY ALL OF COLDPLAY to the South Devon branch of the MS Society. He donated it in support of the fantastic work the branch does to help people in the area affected by MS, a disease which can be absolutely devastating. As you know, Chris is from South Devon himself and he has donated the disc because a member of his family is close friends with a family member of one of the branch committee members so it is a close connection that he has with the branch and he is a great supporter of their work. Hi everyone, Thanks so much for taking the time to look at the disc on ebay. I have just read over the posts and I realise there's a few very valid concerns so I will try to answer them here! Just to give you a bit of background about who I am and why I'm posting here - my Mum has MS and she volunteers for the South Devon branch of the MS Society. When I realised that they had put the disc on ebay but hadn't actually promoted it anywhere I decided to give them a hand so that you guys, the people who would most appreciate owning the disc, would actually know about it! So in answer to the above posts: 1. They can ship abroad - on the ebay listing there's an email address ([email protected]) and you can email them to arrange shipping abroad. 2. Good point about the feedback but I think it's just because the MS Society hasn't made much use of ebay in the past. The sale of it is being arranged by the fundraising team at the MS Society National Centre in London. They can be contacted on 0870 241 3565 or [email protected] (although there won't be anyone in the office until Tuesday) and they will be able to guarantee the authenticity of the sale. The reason Chris has donated the disc is because a member of his family is close friends with a member of the family of someone on the South Devon branch committee - he is really supportive of the cause and it is fantastic that he has done this.
