What's the average age of the Coldplaying.com-ers?
?Age difference? What age difference? To Everyone...O.K. I'm 55, D.O.B. 12/05/1953. I was around when the Beatles 1st appeared on the Ed Sullivan show, when President Kennedy was assassinated they announced it on the "loudspeaker" in my 5th grade class. I was a professional musician, singer/songwriter, when I was 16. I went into labor on stage doing showcases for record labels and continued Rock'n & Rollin' for 5 hours and delivered twins 8 hours later. I've had my heart broken , really broken, by men, friends, family, my self. One thing I have always lived by; I was always very respectful, & kind to my elders because I knew someday hopefully I'd be one, and hoped I would be treated as well. I have loved a number of musicians/bands/artists...but I know without a doubt that my experiences have only made me all the more appreciative of Coldplay, and I have a lot in my heart and life to compare them too. They're the BEST BAND since The Beatles and the best we have today! You love them, I love them, we love them and that closes any gap there may be between us. I have made some really precious friends here and they're all younger than me. I learn from them and hopefully they learn from me. My youngest daughter, now pregnant with her 1st at age 19, 1st introduced me to Coldplay in about '06. I was glad she had some decent music to listen to. It was my 6 yr old grandson who made me fall in love with them when I visited him last April. He was singing along to "The Speed of Sound" on his Wii/American Idol program. He then let me listen to X & Y, and I started crying when I heard the lyrics to "what if?" They spoke what I was hurting too much to say...and now i ride in my "music box"(my car...I can listen as loud as I want) and ROCK OUT and no one can tell me to turn it down!

Betty Confidential sources: Gwyneth Paltrow Wants Chris Martin to Leave Coldplay!
Yoko Oh No!2 Yeh! The pics I'm talking about are from coldplay.com, from the Wembley show Aug. 17th. Scrolling down from top, pic 17 is the pre-show huddle with a clear view of Chris' wedding ring finger wrapped around to the front, no ring, black tape, and I've seen others recently like that but not sure exactly where...you tube, recent concert. Pic 19, is Chris & Johnny facing cases label "Atomic "(something)... Chris' eyes are in a very distant place & he's obviously not his usual bouncy self... O.K., I'm not saying I "believe", and I'm sure if Chris read this stuff he wouldn't feel happier that we're bashing his beloved wife, mother of his beloved children. BUT somethings not right. The bands obviously been struggling according to interviews from London, admittedly following Phil's advice that they should move in together for a while to improve their relationships...It's not what I want or want to hear or believe. But their also taking an extended vacation after this tour??? Not to mention the lyrics to the new song that they allowed some female artist to record..."All you have are your memories." Granted, sometimes lyrics are totally fictional...BUT, can someone shed legitimate light on these things? Sorry, Sorry, Sorry....

Yoko OH NO! I've had this eerie feeling in my gut ever since the Tampa cancellation, and Chris' illness. The pics back stage since ,( pre-concert on coldplay.com from last week), his moment of anger toward Johnnie ON-STAGE, some pics he's not wearing his ring and has black tape on his wedding band finger. personally, it's not good for the marriage or the band. I mean there could be other explanations for all these things and I pray none of them are true, but, it's obvious he's in inner turmoil. Have you ever been in a situation where you've been put between 2 people you love as much as love can be?

[##CANCELLED - DISCUSSION PG138 ONWARDS] 09-Aug-09: Ford Amphitheatre, Tampa, FL
"Whether High up above or down below" To everyone who was planning to attend the Tampa show: I can only imagine how disappointed you all must be, especially Martinfan, 1 of my only 3 friends at the coldplaying site. I genuinely wish that somehow it will be made up to you. From what I've read, most of you have been to multiple Coldplay concerts. I live vicariously through all of you, your comments, posts, pictures, & videos. I have never seen them live and pray that somehow someday that will happen for me. I hope that the band will keep it together in spite of the many stresses they face. Having been in bands most of my life, (on a much smaller scale,) still I am keenly aware of these challenges. I have to say that I am tremendously amazed at how well they have managed to face these. After reading the "absolute radio live experiences entries," one thing emerged to be CRYSTAL CLEAR in all of them. These fellows are gentlemen in the truest sense of the word. Their response to such villainous affronts as: the "author of Viva La Vida," obvious breeches of privacy by interviewers & photographers(nothing personal,) verbal maligns from people they truly admire, inner conflict, on the road hardships, and vigorous obstacles to their family life, is ALWAYS GOLDEN. In spite of my obsession with their musicianship, I have nothing but admiration for them as "true human beings"(to quote Ten Bears in his conversation with Clint Eastwood's character in the movie "The Outlaw Josie Wells".) He says "your words have iron and you are on the path of the TRUE HUMAN BEING. " MY MOST HEARTFELT CONDOLENCE GOES OUT TO CHRIS & HIS FAMILY. I pray no one else falls ill, "BOYS" (as most of your fans refer to you,) KEEP YOUR DISTANCE! I'm sure all of you are physically, mentally, & emotionally drained. One more thing; anyone wanting to make friends with an older rock n roll vet, who "paid my dues and then some," please visit me and scroll down to my lengthy story....................Excruciatingly sincere, Cheryl Kay.

Cobalt?Anonymas poster? Do you mean to tell me that "Mrs. Buckland & Mrs. Berryman didn't post those remarks? O.K. I'm gullable, and generally believe the best in people 'till proven otherwise. As far as pulling out old threads, I realize they:\'re from a few years ago, but the topics are none the less applicable...I'm new to all of this. I accidentally end up on some page, find it interesting, and hope someone will see it and reply. I generally need someone to guide me through all of this. I do have relevant things to say...I just don't know what I'm doing. Cheryl Kay

:o OMG! MRS. BERRYMAN and MRS.BUCKLAND/JONNY"S GIRL? I'm Stoked! It's so awesome that you guys actually write in this site! maybe ya"ll (I'm from Texas) could answer my post on the thread about the 5 year break. Hey, I just want to say how much I appreciate your husbands talent and contribution to REAL music, I know it must be a hard life for you, but I really appreciate your support of them. We wouldn't have their music without your contribution. THANK YOU! About the pictures of the old "toga parties" & Will's hair. I didn't see him in the pics??? Am I just missing him or looking at the wrong pictures? Hey. I'm a child (teen girl singer) of the late 60's/early 70's. Hair comes 1st to me. I like all the guys with longer hair...of course I don't live with them and I know you younger girls feel differently but it really is a big thing to me...for whatever it's worth. Hang in their girls. your guys are really making a huge contribution to this world right now. Thanks Again. cheryl kay

Coldplay to take five-year hiatus?
what? I'm confused by the fact that the last entry in this thread dates 2006, & announces that their will be a 5 year break before a new album comes out. Well, It's now July 2009. I have only recently become a truly obsessed Coldplay fan. I was introduced to Coldplay in about 2005 by my then 15 year old daughter. I am a musician and have not really been impressed by a band in a long time. Most of my musical energy has been focused on the band I worked with as a worship leader with which I worked intensely for 7 years, helping develop some very young amateurs "chops', doing as many as 11 services a week for the year prior to our own album recording and release in 2002. After 2004 I moved into my own sabatical so to speak, and it was during this time my daughter began listening to Coldplay at home & in the car. I was extremely impressed. This past March my 6 year old grandson was playing the American Idol game on wii, and began singing with the track "Speed of Sound." He had the album x&y. I couldn't guit listening to it. After everyone was asleep I would pull out the laptop & watch Coldplay videos & interviews for hours. I have become quite acquainted with most of their songs/C.D.'s.Viva La Vida came out in 2008, and I downloaded the LRLR C.D.this week. So what's up with the break? I hear their coming out with another one 12/09.Am I then to expect a 5 year break following that? I love them so much, I do worry about their family life & relationships with one another, not wanting them to burn out or break-up, with each other or their wives. What's the deal?
