  1. Separation, Communication and Devastation Part 2
  2. So I just finished reading 'Letters from the Inside', a novel primarily written in letters, and I thought I'd attempt to do the same kinda thing.:P Yeah, didn't work out too well... Also, apologies in advance if this is similar to something already written on here:) Separation, Communication and Devastation Part 1

  6. I remember from at the start of this year when I wasn't a huge Coldplay fan my class was watching BTN (it's a crappy news show for kids; incredibly "dumbed down" as well). So there was some report about penguins or something (I was kinda zoning out:thinking:) The reporter asked a person working in the enclosure what the penguins were like. They said that the penguins were thoughtful, and liked listening to music. The reporter asked what type of music and the enclosure worker replied that they got really happy when Coldplay came on. And then Clocks came on and some guy in my class scoffed and said "Coldplay? Psshh!" and proceed to telling the class that the penguins were gay because they liked Coldplay. I just recalled that last night so I approached the guy today and said that Coldplay is awesome and he scoffed again. I felt like hitting him so much.:veryangry2:
  7. :laugh4::laugh4: Love it!!:)
  8. :smiley:Thanks heaps, Brooke.:)
  9. That'd be cool. You know I can almost imagine him volunteering at the retirement home. "Hey Will, be a gem and fetch me pills, will ya darl?" "Sure Mavis." And I've no idea what I'm on about. So anyways all fanfics are fan-didly-astic!!:) Looking forward to reading the new additions:D Also, please excuse my ignorance, but since I'm kinda new here how do the awards work?? How do I vote? :confused: Oh, I feel so dumb right now...:(

    Coldplay's latest hit is an ode to the assets of Mariah Carey. Except you would have had to have been at the China Club on Thursday to hear its one-off performance. Chris Martin's band was giving a private concert for winners of a contest sponsored by radio station WPLJ, when he was asked about the competition between Coldplay's "X&Y" and Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi" for biggest-selling album of 2005. When WPLJ reporter Brad Blanks asked Martin how he felt about having Mariah on his tail, he replied: "She's not, but one of her boobs is. They do most of her work. Last week I was chased down the street by an enormous boob. I think it was hers." Martin even made up a song on the spot, sitting at his keyboard: "Man's been traveling through space and man's been to the moon and man's spent most of his intelligence desiring Mariah Carey boobs." As the crowd laughed, he continued: "Mariah Carey's boobs are so nice, and she don't mess around. If she had been aboard the Titanic, there's no way that ship would have gone down." Can't wait for Mariah's response track. Source: New York Daily News

  16. We got a new teacher in my class around two weeks ago, and she asked us to make an "All About Me" PowerPoint presentation about stuff we love. So in mine there were seriously around twenty to thirty pages of just Coldplay. I put a heap of pictures there, explained who Chris, Jonny, Guy and Will were and just had a whole list of all of their songs and albums. We had to present them today and the teacher was just like "Yep, you're not obsessed or anything..."
  17. :)Thank you!:nice: Nice to "meet" you then, Brooke!:)
  18. :)Thank you! It's Hahna.:P

  21. Hmm... My earliest memory of hearing Coldplay is around the time when X&Y came out. I remember seeing the The Hardest Part film clip on television. I was eight, maybe. I probably heard their songs before then, but just didn't realise it.:)
