It is pretty expensive...like for high school band I pay a $50 fee just to be in band (it goes towards programs and more instruments/supplies). And since I have a bigger instrument I rent it from the school, which is $200. I believe. And my sister bought a flute (cause you can't rent the small instruments). Her old one was only $600 but the new one was $1500 (and that was a wicked deal!) And my piano lessons are over $1000 a year. But it's important to me and my parents support musical stuff so they pay :D
