  1. I'm trying to get it to work on ustream but having difficulty. Hit the chatbox
  2. Quite possibly. Trying to sort it now. 85% yes.
  3. My words were arrogant. I'm aware of it. But I'm talking about music, and I've not written seriously about music for about seven years because it's fucking music and if you feel you have to justify yourself to the rest of the world on these matters, or that you can actually convey how awesome a band are to others who clearly don't get it, then you're a bit of an idiot. Also if you're so precious about a band that it really pisses you off that somebody else doesn't like them, then you need to chill. There really isn't going to be an argument about this. We are disagreeing on anything fundamental here. It's a fucking pop band.
  4. What am i talking about, objectively Coldplay have gone shit.
  5. I hate it when people take internet discussion on subjective points seriously. It doesn't matter what I think on this. It might mean something a hell of a lot more if I was saying stuff in the feminism thread, as that's something that could permeate through society and have a negative effect on us all. But even then, there's only so much time you can give to getting pissed off online.
  6. I'm keeping the Listening Party in people's consciousness. I just hope it can happen.
  7. I'll never listen to it again. None of the songs make it. That was when the band died. I'd already moved on to music that actually did things by then, so when that came out I was all, 'what is the point in this and how old is he now?' Ironically in the last few years I've moved on to music that is more subtle and is more about the production, rather than being challenging. Coldplay can't even manage that outside of a way that's just dreary, unfortunately. These last few years Coldplay have had a chance to sneak back in but they decided to stay shit.
  8. They aren't rubbish.
  9. OK, so I am fortunate enough to still be able to listen to some of these tracks, because I haven't listened to them more than once every year, for over a decade. Don't Panic Spies Sparks Parachutes We Never Change Green Eyes Warning Sign Amsterdam I can acknowledge that The Scientist was a good song but I milked it when it came out.
  10. Can be. Cplay songs in next post...
  11. I will put in my next post the songs I like by Coldplay. I have to give them a quick listen because I can't remember which are which.
  12. Radiohead are the best band of all time, but that's because Thom can do the moaney thing and pull it off well. Im just happy CM didn't try because (especially in their more recent years) it'd be even more cringe worthy than the current output. Muse are an abomination to music. A couple of decent tracks and a bucket load of awfulness. Bellamy will also still never win me round from when he made a pass at my cousin in the early days of the band, either. She asked for an autograph and he told her to come to an after party. She said she couldn't because her boyfriend had work in the morning and they had to get back home. He replied 'but I'm Matt Bellamy'. Classy guy.
  13. Stuff like Speed of Sound is cheesey. The start of the chorus is written by an eight year old or something and the music is all epic
  14. We Never Change is alright yeah. One of their better ones. i wouldn't turn it off.
  15. I prefer the downbeat Coldplay songs. They are the only ones that have stood the test of time. And it's because they aren't too moany and they aren't too happy. Thank god CM didn't write songs like Muse. Or more Radiohead stuff.
  16. It's still that cheesey Coldplay sound that started creeping in about the time they released Yellow.
  17. It's as bad as everything else post A Rush Of Blood... And some of A Rush Of Blood
  18. Ooooooooh, that one. Just didn't know the song name.
  19. I will go and listen. Elephants? Wtf
  20. Can someone help me work ustream then?
  21. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
  22. Never heard it. (And I'm not just saying that to be cool. Unless it's a single and I don't recognise the title. If it's an album track then the chances are slim that I have heard it more than once or twice, and therefore won't remember)
  23. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-23536914 You can make a light bulb with a bottle, some water and some bleach. This is going to be being used by around a million people by the start of next year.
  24. Yeah, there won't be any Coldplay...
  25. That will more than suffice!
