How many people have you met online in person?
Actually, now I think about it, there was a girl who added me on Myspace (back in the day) who was local and I didn't know. She suggested we meet up so i did and I ended up sleeping with her too, even though I was freaked out by the situation. I haven't met anybody from online who I haven't had sex with. That is a bit of a disturbing fact :( I'm not that kind of person.

Two. One because she was my girlfriend. One because she is my girlfriend. I feel it necessary to warn that if I meet you I'm likely to have my way with you.

The Bidet
You're normal. I don't trust people who don't eat everyday when within their normal diet. Well, actually I haven't noticed any correlation between pooping less than once a day within a normal diet and lying, so I guess I do trust them. But you see my point. Or maybe you don't. I don't think I know my point anymore.

Superman wears them on the outside because he respects his underwear. Otherwise, he'd be screwed.

I knew this thread had more potential than the one reply it originally garnered.

The limitations of democracy (in its current manifestation, within your culture)
Apparently it's called the residual vote in America. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoilt_vote Though I hadn't realised that a spoilt vote could also include simply filling it out wrong accidentally, or unclearly. So even more pointless as you're lumped in with that lot.

You can go in and scribble over your vote and it gets counted as a spoiled vote. It's instead of being lumped in with simple apathy, which could have been produced through a number of reasons (even not finding time to turn up). Still as pointless, in the great scheme of things. Just wondered if it was available in that system. Sweet.

The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
I wonder how many of the Charity Shield tickets are given to charity.

By the way, Nick, I really hope you read that.

Can you spoil your vote in that system?

It's often said that all systems should adopt this, but I'm not convinced by the argument that if people have to vote they will put the effort in to educate themselves on politics. The negatives of not adopting this is voter apathy. The ideal would be for it not to be compulsory, but achieving a 100% turnout. Never gonna happen.

I'm afraid I don't. It's just arisen from discussions amongst friends whilst high and I made the thread in order to try and further develop these ideas. About half an hour ago I bought a couple of kindle books though. No idea if they'll be any good though as they were cheap and I've not read them yet, so I'll recommend them if I like them. The only thing I can recommend on similar lines is John Stuart Mill's 'On Liberty', which is they closest to a utopia that I'd be interested in.

The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
Just found out that last week, when the Championship started, TalkSports featured commentary game was... Steven Gerrard's testimonial. Embarrassing.
