I totally agree with you. They tried new sounds on every album they released before VLV. I mean Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head and X & Y had totally different sounds but they did too much "electronic music" on VLV. Will said Lost was a result of beat he wrote on beat machine :\

Viva La Vida was more like a commercial Album. As Chris said next album is going to be more acoustic so I don't think it will have same the sound as Viva has.

I don't think that Coldplay are going to record another X&Y. First of all, they have never done anything similar. Since they started every album has something new and innovative and I am sure new one will be no exception. Secondly X&Y had a very bad review in NYT and many critics said that Album was crap. I LOVE X&Y but I am 100% sure new album will not remind us of it.
