  1. Here are more news about the album: A few quotes about the new Beady Eye album, that I typed up from the current issue of Mojo. Liam Gallagher: "It feels like a really special album, You know when you normally go through a door. Errr, I'm not really sure about that... Well, we've f*cking booted the door of the hinges. We've steamed in... I hate the word experimenting, but we are definitely experimenting." Gem Archer: "We've had a few mates in, there's been the sound of jaws dropping." Liam Gallagher "We tend to work 12 to 12. Maybe have a drink at the weekend. But theres a lot of sage being burnt. keep out them evil spirits. That's Dave - you know what Americans are like. Scaredy cats aren't they? it smells nice though. Gem Archer: "It's broader, wider, deeper. It's not stripped-down rock 'n' roll, that's for sure. The constant is Liam's voice and he's truly on form. He sounding outrageous." Producer Dave Sitek on Liam's voice: "It's unreal. When you can just turn on a microphone and do nothing to the vocals and you're like, that sounds like a goddam record! It's one of those. It's rock band instrumentation, but it's used in a different way. There's a lot of slowed-down and sped-up and outer space. It's trippy. The strength of the songs is so high that we got to be real playfull." The album features some unusual instrumentation - including celeste, plus cymbals played with a violin bow. Only what Dave Sitek said it's interesting for me. Liam and Gem always hype it up, the same with DGSS.
  2. More news about Beady Eye second album. From The Sun: Liam Gallagher is abandoning Britpop on the next Beady Eye album. The former Oasis man has been working with TV On The Radio and Yeah Yeah Yeahs producer DAVE Dave Sitek. He said: “I hate the word ‘experimenting’, but we are definitely experimenting “In five words, it’s ‘majestic’, ‘imperial’, ‘out there’ and, er, what was the other one? Oh yeah, ‘heavy’. “It’s different to the first. It’s been heads down, none of that nonsense from the Nineties. We’ve got our s*** together.” Liam’s in bullish mood about his band’s second release, which is due out next year. He added: “It feels like a really special album. You know when you normally go through a door and go, ‘Er, I’m not really sure about that’. “Well, we’ve f***ing booted the door off the hinges.” From Q Magazine: Liam Gallagher has been speaking to Q Magazine about Beady Eye's debut album. The singer said "It was done off the back of Oasis, it wasn't progressive enough, it hadn't moved on. There were good moments but it just didn't connect. This one, people might hate it too but its not stuck in a 60s rut. Obviously there's Lennon vibes in there but we've turned it on it's head. Not that the pressure's on or anything, but it's a really important record for me. If no one buys it, it's back to the drawing board. So we'll see. I'm prepared for whatever". Talking about Oasis on Q Magazine: Liam Gallagher has rejected an offer to reform Oasis in 2015. The year will mark the 20th anniversary of the band's iconic album (What's The Story) Morning Glory? Liam was questioned about the rumours and told Q Magazine: "It was Noel who started that, I've never said a f*cking dicky bird". "Listen we're doing our album. Hopefully people are gonna dig it, which will allow us to go round the world and tour it. And if that goes over to 2015, whoops, sorry about that. I've got a new record, I'm buzzing off it, wouldn't be putting it out if I thought it was gonna get laughed out of town so f*ck Oasis as far as I'm concerned and f8ck Noel Gallagher." Q then told Liam they had heard strong rumours from reliable sources that the reunion is on. He said "What, because Noel Gallagher's finished touring?" he scoffs. "He'll be f*cking doing it on his own. Or with his f*cking High Flying Smurfs. The thought of going onstage with that f*cking idiot anyway and hanging out with his daft mates, the pretend drug addicts and all his snobs from Sloane Street, f*ck that, not interested, mate. We're Beady Eye all the f*cking way." About Noel on Belfast Telegraph: Noel Gallagher hasn't "lit up the world" with his solo material, according to his brother Liam. The two siblings have a famously fiery relationship which caused their band, Oasis, to split in 2009. While Liam has gone on to release music with his group Beady Eye, Noel has focused on his own material. Noel has made disparaging remarks about Beady Eye's success in public, with Liam unsure why he feels able to point the finger. "I tell you f**king what, we've all got a lot of graft to do, d'you know what I mean? Him too," Liam fumed to Q magazine. "He's sold a f**king few records, why wouldn't he sell records, he was the main songwriter of Oasis but he certainly hasn't f**king lit up the world." Liam still harbours some animosity towards his brother for the way Oasis ended. The pair argued backstage at a concert in Paris, resulting in a broken guitar and Noel quitting. Liam finds is hard to support his brother's new venture after what happened. "Was I pleased for him [when he released his album]? What, for splitting up my f**king band? I'm not pleased for him, no," Liam said. "I hope he's f**king happy but he doesn't look it. And he won't be happy when he hears we've done an out-there record that we're actually gonna f**king release before him. With our out-there record, you're gonna hear it next year, with his out-there record, you'll never hear it." If I can give my opinion, he sounds like an a**hole. Let the music talk, don't start to say bullsh*t about Oasis and your brother.

  7. Another article with some more information: New Beady Eye record 'will shock everyone' The manager of Beady Eye, Quest's Scott Rodger, has told Music Week that Liam Gallagher's new album could be the the best LP that the ex-Oasis man has ever recorded. Rodger, who also manages the likes of Arcade Fire, Paul McCartney and Noah & the Whale, features in a four-page Big Interview in the new Music Week magazine. Of all the albums on Quest’s roster, Rodger said he may be most enthused about the second record from Beady Eye – Liam Gallagher’s post-Oasis band, which also features Andy Bell and Gem Archer. The group started recording the record in London last month with TV On The Radio guitarist and producer Dave Sitek, who has also worked behind the desk on albums from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars, CSS and Foals. The currently unnamed album, the follow-up to 2011's Different Gear, Still Speeding, is due for release in the first half of 2013. Explained Rodger: “It’s probably the most exciting record I’ve worked on for as long as I can remember. Everyone thinks they know exactly what record Beady Eye are going to deliver, but they’ve completely turned it on its head. “I think Liam Gallagher is making the best album of his entire career. That’s a big statement because he’s made some classic records - usually with his brother’s songs. But Beady Eye are very talented players and writers and are technically fantastic. “Gem Archer is an amazing engineer and producer. Both he and Andy Bell will produce records for other people at some point, I’m sure. They pretty much made the record this year in Gem’s studio in his basement. They were writing all year and did what a lot of bands do: they wrote about nine or 10 songs and then said, ‘We’re ready to go with the album.’ “We encouraged them to keep writing until August or September and lo and behold, they wrote 21 songs – and some of the later songs were the best ones. Then we had to find a producer. We wanted to get someone in who’d take [the album] from a 7/10 to a 9/10. “I was on a plane to New York for a best friend’s wedding thinking, ‘Who can I call?’. Then I thought of [TV On The Radio producer] Dave Sitek – who I associate with New York and great records. I sent him the demos and a link to the studio after being told he’d never leave his LA home. He gets straight back to me to say, ‘I’m there.’ “Now they’ve tracked 21 songs in nine days [in London]. Sitek called at 6pm the other night to say, ‘I need a brass section. Get me a brass section now.’ Everyone in the [Quest] building was calling to sort it for him, and we did – within two hours it was recorded. It was a track that was never going to make the album, but Sitek completely changed the vibe and now it’s an amazing song. “They have a couple of songs that are just unbelievable, mind-blowing. Everyone’s going to be shocked when they hear this record. It’s not like anything Liam’s ever recorded before." Pick up the new Music Week today to read the full interview with Rodger, whose Quest company recently acquired the management contract for The X Factor.
  8. 'The next Beady Eye record could be the greatest Liam's ever made' Manager has big hopes for the new record The second album from Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye could be the best record the ex-Oasis man has ever made - or at least that's what his manager thinks. Scott Rogers, of Quest Management, told Music Week that of all the albums on Quest's roster he is most enthused about the forthcoming Beady Eye album. That's quite a statement considering Quest's roster also features Arcade Fire and Paul McCartney. The band began recording the follow-up to 2011's Different Gear, Still Speeding last month with TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek, and are under pressure to deliver a better album than their debut. "It's probably the most exciting record I've worked on for as long as I can remember," Rogers said. "Everyone thinks they know exactly what record Beady Eye are going to deliver, but they've completey turned it on its head." Last month Noel Gallagher remarked that his brother Liam was letting Beady Eye down. "The thing with Beady Eye is...their singer does them a great disservice," he said in an interview with BBC 6Music. "I think they caught a lot of flak that was quite undeserved really. "I think they've got a great album in them next time. They need one. They fucking need one, that's for sure." If Rogers is to be believed, a great album is what the Beady Eye boys will indeed deliver. "I think Liam Gallagher is making the best album of his entire career," he said. "That's a big statement because he's made some classic records - usually with his brother's songs. But Beady Eye are very talentedplayers and writers and are technically fantastic." Dave Sitek apparently jumped at the opportunity to work on the new record. "I sent him the demos and a link to the studio after being told he'd never leave his LA home. He gets straight back to me to say 'I'm there'," Rogers remembers. "They's tracked 21 songs in nine days [in London]. Sitek called at 6pm the other night to say, 'I need a brass section. Get me a brass section now'. Everyone in the building was calling to sort it for him, and we did - within two hours it was recorded. "It was a track that was never going to make the album, but Sitek completely changed the vibe and now it's an amazing song." "Everyone's going to be shocked when they hear this record." The second Beady Eye album is expected to arrive sometime in the first half of next year. With the lack of critical acclaim achieved by Different Gears, Still Speeding coupled with Rogers' comments it'll have a lot to live up to. http://www.gigwise.com/news/78116/the-next-beady-eye-record-could-be-the-greatest-liams-ever-made I'm excited but I hope this isn't another story like with DGSS. They always said it was the best record since Morning Glory and all that sh*t. I prefere low profile.

OMG, imagine this: Noel Gallagher: I Want To Play Tender With Blur Noel Gallagher is curating next year's Teenage Cancer Trust shows at the Royal Albert Hall and has told Xfm we might see him on stage with former Britpop rivals Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon from Blur. It's the first time anyone other than Roger Daultrey has looked after the line-up for the annual charity event - for which Xfm is once again the exclusive radio partner. Kasabian, Primal Scream and Ryan Adams have all been chosen by the former Oasis man for the series of shows next March but most notably - Noel himself is playing March 23 with Damon and Graham on the bill for the same night. Speaking to Xfm's Dan O'Connell Noel explained that he was after Blur from the offset. "They were one of the first people that I asked - if Blur could do it - because Damon had always said that he'd like to do it, they've tried to get Gorillaz once or twice but could never quite make it work. It was a shame Blur couldn't do it. He continued, "I dunno how they're gonna do it... I think Damon plays piano and Graham plays guitar and they'll do a load of Blur songs and everyone has a great night. "I wouldn't be adverse to getting up with them and playing Tender though - that being one of my favourite Blur songs." You wouldn't have imagined it possible 15 years ago - something Noel acknowledged. "What would I have said in '97? There would have been swear words involved. Definitely," he told Dan. "We're all older now. I've been on tour with Graham recently and I've met Damon recently... we're all old dudes from the past."  :awesome:

Noel Gallagher to curate 2013 Teenage Cancer Trust concerts The Who's Roger Daltrey is passing responsibility for the annual events to High Flying Birds man Daltrey told NME: "I'm not doing it next year because I'm on tour and Noel Gallagher has kindly offered to step in. So he's putting the bill together. Obviously I'm in the background and I'm not going away. I'll put feelers out but he kindly offered and I accepted." http://www.nme.com/news/the-who/67314 Well, at least Noel is doing something next year. ;)
  14. Except the first one, Definitely Maybe. For the last 3 albums, he sang more songs. Three per album. And he sings in a lot of b-sides. And for the topic, I don't like Shakira but I love this song: [ame= ] [/ame]

Last Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere (for now, I hope): Yes comrades. How is everyone? OK? OK . . . I do tend to say this quite often I know but . . . it's been a long time since we last spoke. I don't really remember when it was to be honest. 3 weeks ago? Fuck knows! Anyway . . . that American tour was alright. Nothing more nothing less. We came, we played, we moved on to the next one. A more uneventful tour you'd be hard pushed to find. A few things do stick out though. Gigs in Nashville and Kentucky (for some reason!). All the shows in Texas were great for me, (I do love Texas. Nice weather. Nice people). I did get mauled by some bastard mosquitoes though. I had 8 bites at one point! On my hands. Agony. So that was that. Like I say it was "alright". That gig at the Shepards Bush Empire was - if I'm being honest - a bit of an anti-climax. Can't really put my finger on why. It just kind of passed me by a little. Maybe I'd built it up too much in my head? Maybe everyone in the crowd had seen the show one too many times already? Dunno . . . I didn't really enjoy it. Jet lag maybe? Who knows? Not me!! We did party hard after though. It’s taken me a good 72 hours to straighten myself out again. I would like to say a heart felt thank you to everyone who either bought the record or came to the shows and if you did both then you are a righteous person and I thank you twice as much. I'd like to thank all my crew. I'd like to thank my band (I actually don't think - when I was choosing a line-up-to tour this record - I could've found a group of lads more readily available . . . I'm only joking!! BUT SERIOUSLY THOUGH). So . . . that's that then. I shall, for the for seeable future, be indulging my beautiful wife and wonderful kids AND that crazy football club of mine. There now follows a massive break in transmission. Go safe. IN A BIG BIT. NG

Noel's world tour is now over. :bigcry: Here is the amazing setlist from last night. And this is the cake from the after party. He was everywhere!!!
  19. Yes, I saw that too on Twitter. I'm very glad they took someone like Dave Sitek as a producer. I hope he can gives them a more "modern sound".

I have finally the answer to this question, thanks to a lovely fan. He asked Noel's DJ, Phil Smith: "Finally got to personally talk to Phil on the curb behind the Ryman in Nashville. The song is something Noel recorded into his pedal board and plays it at the end of DLBIA right before Phil plays Maggot Brains by Funkadellic. He said it sound like Sally Cinnamon but Noel wouldn't admit that. Anyway, problem solved!"

I read on Live4ever that some people on US didn't receive it yet. I'm waiting for mine as well. I contacted Top Spin and they said that all the orders were sent October 12th. So, if by friday I didn't receive it, I'm going to claim for a replacement. You should do the same.

New Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere: Yes comrades. It's been a while I know. Not sure what was said the last time we spoke. Had a bit of much needed time off. It was great to be sat round the house doing fuck all. Good practice for the future. Back in the States for the last leg of this tour. Think I've got maybe 9 gigs left? Not sure. Seems to be dragging now though. Been on tour with that band Snow Patrol and that young 'un Jake Bugg - who I believe has had a #1 album back home. Big shout to the little 'un! A #1 album at 18 years of age!! Pretty mad eh? I think so anyway. Been to Portland and Seattle and . . . can't remember where else. I know I'm up in Canada now. Somewhere on the road to Winnipeg. Somewhat predictably it's - and I can't overstate this enough even with big fuck off capital letters - FUCKING FREEZING - and I mean - FREEZING!!!!! Wolves, polar bears (of which I'm neither), mad men and the military can surely only experience such weather conditions? Oh . . . and penguins of course . . . and Eskimos . . . and Russians. It's colder than Margaret Thatcher's blood one would imagine. ONWARDS. GD.
