  1. I'll listen to the full album, and I'm pretty sure I'll like it altogether (as the story it is). For those who want to skip songs on iTunes, you just have to "disable" them using the checkbox, you don't need to delete them. Example: (not that I dislike these songs, just to show how it works! xD)
  2. I remember the Oracle said that he/she doesn't like Speed of Sound, for example, so it's not like he says everything is good. As for the Rihanna thing, the song was written with her in mind. The Las Vegas thing could've happened in 2008/9, they didn't say when it was. I'm sure it sounds better with female vocals since it's a story between two characters. But I think that maybe Rihanna is not a good choice. But also, please wait until you listen to the song. Obviously the Oracle works with the band, so besides being a PR/marketing person he knows what they're doing, how the album sounds as a whole, etc... Just stop complaining so much before listening to the full album, I think that listening to individual songs won't help to understand the whole in this case...
  3. Strawberry Swing music video was released on movie theaters, but not as a proper single, Chris said that. But what I'm trying to say is that the singles aren't normally the best songs on their albums.
  4. I don't understand those complaining about the lyrics being too simple. I don't see much difference between "a night a stormy night" and "in a haze a stormy haze". And most of Clocks (which is my favourite song) is "youuuuuu... aaaaare". It's just a new style, but it's just a single. My favourite songs from the Viva la Vida era are Glass of Water and Strawberry Swing. They're not singles. Most people never have heard Glass of Water. So that's my point, this is just a bit more commercial than other songs (you know EMI kinda influences them when deciding which songs to use as singles - they wanted to use Lost! and EMI didn't let them).
  5. The strings/synth sound similar to the beginning of X&Y (the song) - the same style, not melody :) . And the rythm/pace of the vocals is similar to a lullaby to me (like it was on Swallowed in the Sea), if that makes any sense? I don't know, but it's awesome! Do you guys think that they'll release a music video this week, too?
