I just arrived at IAD for flight to LAX and saw posting about video shoot so I signed up for wait list. Thank you Coldplayers and Tash for giving this old lady a chance to see Coldplay before Sunday (I didn't get tix to Fri or Sat shows.) It would be a real treat to see them taping.

God I hope nothing goes wrong with my ticket for Sunday; so jealous I can't go sooner! Dianne, thanks for your info and promise that if you see an older, short Hispanic standing behind you, you will duck down so that I can see the stage :)

I am anxious to see them this weekend because this could be my only chance to see them over the next few months (except for gigs in NY, maybe) as my work schedule is about to get very heavy and require a lot of travel to non Coldplay venue cities :)

I remembered another sign of addiction: The day the first Latina was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, I was a political blogger and I asked my editor to decide within an hour if he was going to want me to write something because I was driving, hell or high water, to New Jersey to see Coldplay. He responded in two hours; I wrote the piece in 30 minutes and left skid marks on the road as I took off for New Jersey.

In no particular order: 1. You can't have a single business, friend or family conversation without mentioning the word "Coldplay;" 2. Your friend gives you an authenticated photo of the young lads from a decade ago with their autographs and apologizes that it's not the Beatles. 3. Your husband doesn't understand how an AARP member can get so excited about a band but would rather lend you frequent flyer miles for you to see the band rather than be sad about missing them; 4. You go to a second music festival featuring Coldplay in a short span of weeks with TWO broken feet and stand for hours with pain that suddenly disappears when the boys come on stage; 5. You set your alarm to London time to hear BBC2 broadcast the world premier of the new Coldplay single; 6. You add to your bucket list (folks my age pay close attention) that you want to be the Coldplay roadie blogger on the next world tour and Debs Wild says they does't need you :) but you stay loyal to the band; 7. You are the only Latina you know who loves Coldplay until others start picking up on your enthusiasm and become fans too! 8. Your smart poodle learned to play squeaky toys to the timpani beat of Viva la Vida and even now, looks for a squeaky toy whenever the song comes on or your sing it out loud; 9. You listen to Coldplay every day; 10. You look for ways to use Coldplay music as the backdrop on a video in support of U.S. immigration reform (U.F.O. was perfect!)

If no one on this site has heard from 1iota, that is pretty remarkable and means something funny is going on. Let me know if you would like for me to alert the media. I'm fully capable of that.
