Forgot to add that he said the band changed the production design and they followed the new design and opened up extra seats. We were out $2000 for four tickets. Our row was 15 but the rows were pushed back and further stage right and again, a section of about 20 seats was inserted in between us and the runway. Really, really disappointed. Especially when I found out that the new tickets that were released were not charged at tier 1 or tier2 prices but at regular price and were better seats. They could have contacted VIP ticket holders as they did with other info, to ask if we wanted to trade up. Btw those that were displaced by the new design did get good seats. I think that when they opened up new seats after removing the curve in the runway, they charged same price as for non VIP tickets. So for $1,000 extra, we got a poster and a water bottle each. I thought I had previously replied but don't see it posted, so let me add that on night if show, one of our guests is an actress and she ran into her agent who had secured Row 4 seats for regular price, not VIP, from lot that had opened up. The original diagram looked so cool. We were primed to have great vantage points of all three stages. Also, I had a special guest and when we arrived, we ran into her agent who was sitting in row 4 and paid much less than we did because of the newly released tickets. Let me start by saying that I love Coldplay. I consider myself very lucky to have seen them multiple times. (Can you hear the, "However" coming?) However, I was really disappointed when I saw their first show at MetLife Stadium in NJ, and it didn't have as much to do with the band, though it sort of did, as with the management of the seats and tickets. When the tickets first went on sale, I had trouble with the browser and about 9 minutes into the sale, all good floor seats (except VIP and second tier VIP) were gone. At that point, we did not know that a second show would be added. Desperate, I bought four second tier VIP tickets. I was excited because the original design of the runway with B and C stages curved, and our seats were shown as being right beside the runway. I saw that previous shows at the start of the tour on other continents had a straight runway, but I hoped they would stay with the design that was shown for U.S. shows. I learned on the day of the show that the runway was not going to curve and that VIPNation had created a new section between ours and the runway. So instead of being next to it, we were a section and about 10 more seats away. The irony is that the newly released tickets were not sold at second tier VIP prices but at regular prices for the section, yet we spent thousands of dollars to be further away from the runway. As I said at the top, I love Coldplay and I was happy to be there. But for the first time ever, I can't say that the tickets were worth the money spent. I am going to one of the Philly concerts and the seats I purchased are at the back, so I don't expect to have a better view with which to take photos, but at least I know I paid a fair price. Sorry to rant, and I hesitated to post anything, but I'm sure there are others who were similarly disappointed. Also, if the future shows had the same runway design and seating chart that was available for the NJ and PA shows, then be forewarned.

How old are you?

I am in US and am going to NY to see them. Well aware that this tour could be my last chance to see them and it feels bittersweet. Even their set list has a final tour feel. Oh well at least we have them now. And don't forget they perform in a little more than an hour!

Thanks for the links and I saw those but first one was not official and second is from MX tour. BUT...I found my cap!!!! The CP gods were with me. I listened to every CP album because I couldn't sleep and then in the morning went through I closet where I had looked before and this time I found it! Up and Up. Don't ever give up!!! Thanks for looking for me.

Speaking of merch...HELP! For weeks, I have been looking for my Coldplay cap that I bought at the first concert of the Viva tour that I attended. I wore it all the time while walking around town or driving around. I am so bummed, especially because I can't find another like it online. Not even on eBay. If anyone knows where I can find one, please let me know. Black with Coldplay stitched in across the front. A classic!

I love Coldplay -- saw the Sony studio is taping of GS -- but have to say this may be my favorite album since #VLV

I also wonder why they allowed themselves to be opening acts for these two fests (they were second to Sam Smith last week). Seems like they would be better served by audience later in the show.

I heard the track for paradise start and stop and then Chris got his guitar and moved to Yellow. as they removed the piano he commented on that. I thought that. I thought that maybe he had skipped it and they weren't going back to it; didn't know piano was broken. As for his stamina and voice, I noticed both off last week at Iheart fest and thought it might be fatigue from India. He certainly jumped high that night. The big anthem songs usually stretch his range but fix you sounds best with Will's backing, so maybe they should stick to that on tour and forget ETIAW

They came through Washington DC and eastern US in the fall and came back following spring and summer. I was a political reporter and couldn't see them the first time because it was on Halloween and right before presidential election so I saw them at 3 venues/cities when they returned. I would have gone to more cities but had to work :)

I totally agree. Vocals and musical arrangements were ... Amazing. I hope the rest of AHFOD is as enjoyable and that they do a huge tour like VLV. They toured that LP twice and I saw them 3 or 4 times in that tour. Can't afford to do that anymore, nor do I have energy. (But seeing in Vegas last week energized me again!)

They did the same thing at I heart fest last week.

Interesting that Chris skipped Paradise. I guess he forgot and went on to yellow.
