I got my copy today in the post. It was interesting. The demos were somewhere in between iPhone voice memo and really rough studio recordings. I only listened once but my run down is as follows: Moon Music - pretty much an iPhone recording of Chris playing the piano of the song. Not much else to it. feelslikeimfallinginlove - Rough studio run through with I presume Max? Chorus melody is slightly different (and better) than the final cut. Played to a click track if I remember right. We Pray - Starts off with Chris playing the melody on the guitar and then some whispered version of the lyrics/chorus. Sounds like he was trying to be quiet. Jupiter - Sounds very much like the album version, though the chorus goes ‘You love who you love’. I wonder, given it was penned in as the lead song after Moon Music in the notebook scribblings, whether they intended it to be the big pop number that we’ve heard snippets of from the leaks but somewhere along the lines the band decided the demo/first draft was better so they scrapped it and went back to the original feel? Good Feelings - Played on piano. Interestingly after the chorus, Chris plays JB’s guitar riff on the piano (the riff that has disappeared from the album, sadly). 🌈 - This recording sounds nothing like AHAR but, if I remember rightly, an instrumental rough demo of Spanish Rain!!! iAAM - Similar to feelslike… good to hear the production team going over ideas together with the band on songwriting. Chris plays this on a synth. Sounds cool. Aeterna - Just some piano chords. All My Love - Played on a crazy cheap keyboard in either the harpsichord or 12-string guitar setting. Song sounds pretty much as it does now. One World - Bit of piano and not much else. I probably wouldn’t listen to it much again but it definitely gives a cool insight into the songwriting process and works well with the notebook CD as a product. Would have been awesome if they’d have taken the songs at various stages and blended them together so you started with voice memo, the studio work through, then a bit of an actual studio demo and then finishing with a clip of the final piece.

That “bonus record” sounds very much like the We Pray EP 😔

Really enjoyed the new album. Best album they’ve done since MX in my opinion. Some great songs and interesting little bits. As much as I love that Vegas street song, I’m not sure it would have fit the album very well as a whole so can see why it got bumped. And that little clip after One World…! 😂 Great sense of humour. Interestingly, part of AHAR, in addition to aka Neon Forest, seems to be a clip of a leak that came out a while ago. I could have sworn I’d heard it before. I actually think the best track was AETERNA, which I wasn’t expecting. The mix was so good. Max Martin has done a great job producing that one. While it’s no VLVODAHF or AROBTTH (though what is?!), is a solid effort and infinitely better than MOST, GS (which was okay) and AHFOD (I really liked EL).

I mean, they released Prospekt’s March 5 months after Viva La Vida came out so I don’t think it’s out of the realms of possibility they may release whatever MOTS III is in some form of EP to round up this era. I hope they do and Shine On (or whatever it’s called) is on it, as I’m a tad gutted it’s not on the album. It’d be great to see UFO ii, The Only One and 2 Aliens also be released officially, as well as A Wave.

There’s a few people on the original TikTok post of that Vegas street song saying that it’s Alien Hits/Alien Radio. Some of the lyrics to the song (unless I’ve misheard them from the clip) are written on one of Guy’s bass guitars with the word Alien Hits/Alien Radio.

Possibly Alien Hits? Would fit with what he’s wearing on his head! 😆

Somebody on Twitter posted a response they had from Ticketmaster. Apparently, the link in the email will redirect to the right place at 9am. Maybe they're trying a different approach after all the Oasis Ticketmaster shitery.

There’s some talk over on the Coldplay Discord that MOON MUSiC was debuted live by Chris acoustically on a secret KROQ radio show. People were asked to put their phones away. Someone suggested it had lyrics and everything.

Looks like the song MOON MUSiC has Jon Hopkins on it. Guessing that means it's going to be largely an instrumental type track, like Life In Technicolour, etc?

I really like iAAM. It grows on me every time I listen to it. Sort of reminds me of a hybrid of Death And All His Friends, Something Just Like This and Fix You. I read an article fairly recently that said that Coldplay are no longer a rock band but a pop band. I think if you take them like that, it makes their new stuff more enjoyable as I'm no longer thing things like iAAM doesn't sound like stuff from their second album, etc.

Nice song! The leak quality is a bit guff but as is some of the other leaks. Also, I just saw something about The Only One being part of 🌈. Is that true?

I didn't think so. I found a clip on Coldplay's Instagram where Chris is sat with someone playing Moon Music to them and the first song with that vocoder thing saying 'Moon Music' is in a different key to the song that we know as 'Neon Rainbow'. Sad about Earthling not being on the album (as far as we know... unless it's part of that Alien Radio song) as I absolutely love that song!

There's a video called 'Coldplay MoonMusicPreview mp4' on *that site* with previews of Moon Music... surely it's fan made, right? All the clips seem to be of recordings/demos I've heard already.

I wonder what FRNDZ is? Also, sad to see that Earthling didn’t make the cut on Moon Music. Love that song.

I dare say, this theory may be right. Those two songs seem to bleed into one another quite seemlessly and they're in the same key.

I wonder if iAAM is short because it comes off the back of 🌈, like Neon Rainbow (or whatever it is called) bleeds into iAAM and it's a big epic piece of music in the middle of the album?
