Maybe it is :) Anyway, I think Chris was thinking about a couple who watch TV together, cuddled up on a peaceful night rather than doing something racy :)
  2. I agree with the music video part, but not the music. Personally, I do like Mylo Xyloto better than Ghost Stories, but that's because I prefer upbeat songs like Charlie Brown or DLBYH as opposed to Oceans, which I'm not that fond of, but from an objective point of view, GS is not lower quality than MX or any of the other Coldplay albums. The music videos are not made by Coldplay so the directors' word counts just as much as the boys', I suppose. I don't really see though why ASFOS has turned out like this, I would have preferred something higher scale, like the Target video or the Ghost Stories special. With the lack of a world tour, somehow this fan-centred video does not seem that honest, but maybe it's just the envy speaking out of me :)

I don't know. Who's watching TV naked? Then again, ‘late night watching TV’ so there could be that sort of TV programme on. :)
  4. Maybe this has been asked before, but do you think this is going to be streamed online, too? You know, how the Mylo Xyloto era festival shows have been?

I doubt this is going to be a duet. Back then with Princess of China, that song was first played at a private concert, if I remember correctly. This time I don't think they will make such an important decision after debuting the song at itunes festival, streamed live for millions of people. That would be lame. And I don't really see how this could turn out as a duet, anyway (so no Miley for you, fortunately). I really like the song, btw, best from Ghost Stories so far (anything with a guitar solo is an instant favourite for me these days)

Well, on the last page, they were mainly talking about the concert in September in Prague (which was amazing, by the way), saying merry christmas and happy new year, and talking about how this topic is deserted (not many people write). Not sure you're genuinely interested, but I thought I'd write it down anyway just to make the thread a bit more lively (and out of pure randomness:D).
  7. Well, I suppose pop music is just music that's popular :). I mean, Coldplay definitely is popular, there's no denying it. As for the more electronic type of pop music, they also have other genres, Lady Gaga and Madonna make dance music, Beyoncé performs R&B and Soul music, etc. So I guess Coldplay can be considered pop music as well as rock music and it doesn't mean that it's commerce, it means that people have good musical tastes :D.
  8. Um... They didn't make Chris' voice electronic for ETIAW and Moving to Mars. In ETIAW, I don't hear any difference from his usual singing voice. In Moving to Mars, the beginning is quite deep, but it's very close to his speaking voice, and after that he has his usual voice with Will as backup singer. In Charlie Brown, on the other hand, what you hear during the intro (that squeaky voice) is Chris's voice with a "slight" pitch modification (and that's an understatement). What I'm saying is that you should still give the new songs a second chance, despite the editing. I, for example, loathe speeded up vocals but I still think Charlie Brown is an awesome and catchy song. It just spent almost as long a time at the mixers' as photo models spend in Photoshop ;).
  9. Funny how a lot of people say that Major Minus is bad because of the distorted vocals (which is barely noticeable for me, seeing that other bands distort vocals to, sometimes to the point where it sounds like it comes out of a megaphone) yet have absolutely no problem with Charlie Brown, which has Chris' vocals sped up in Smurfs fashion (or kinda reminiscent of Woodstock, just to stay on topic;)). Though "Smurfs-intro" aside, I think it's a really good song, but I like Major Minus and even ETIAW better (the latter because of its brilliant riff by Jonny). Though I think it's a good song, I'd prefer Major Minus to be on the album, if I had to choose from the two songs.
