  1. You may be able to check your cell phone with 1iota before entering. Sony Studios is huge. The show is taking place in 1 of their many soundstages. You enter from the Overland entrance.
  2. You have to leave your phone behind, unless you think you can get it through the metal detectors. Even then you won't be able to take it out and use it. I am also attending the video shoot tomorrow and I asked staff how it differed from the evening shows. They said it was going to be almost the same, just focused more on getting pickup shots for the video production they are making over these couple of days. Tomorrow night will be the same as tonight.
  3. I was in the front row for the show, so I had a lot of crew near me. I overheard some of them mentioning that there was a q and a with the band happening before they went on stage. These photos would have been from that, but I'm not sure who these people were. They may not have been handled through 1Iota, so they probably did not have to leave their phones behind.
  4. February 13, 2001 at the Virgin Megastore in West Hollywood, CA for a 5 song acoustic performance followed by seeing them perform a full concert on the same night at the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles. I remember them playing almost every song off Parachutes plus covers of You Only Live Twice and What The World Needs Now in about a 60 minute performance. I saw them 4 months later at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles and I remember them already playing a lot of Rush Of Blood songs prior to them being recorded like the title song and In My Place, plus Murder which ended up as a B side. I waited after the show and met the band for the first time. I located the setlist online for the Mayan Theater concert I saw: 13 February 2001: Mayan Theater,Los Angeles, CA, USA From WikiColdplay Setlist 1.Spies 2.Shiver 3.Trouble 4.High Speed 5.You Sexy Thing (cover) 6.Don’t Panic 7.Animals 8.Sparks 9.Yellow 10.Everything’s Not Lost 11.In My Place Encore 12.You Only Live Twice (cover) 13.What The World Needs Now (cover)
  5. It's certainly possible, but I think he may not have even had a taping at all yesterday. I usually check the 1iota.com site that gives out tickets for his show, but I don't recall if they listed a taping for yesterday. If he did tape, may have only done the introduction for last night's show, then possibly taped another guest interview for use on a future date. If he only did the introduction, it's possible he could ahve bussed the guests over from Hollywood, but for 300-400 audience members, it may have been a bit hard. I agree with you about how the audience would have been much better without all the people who won free tickets. Those seats were taken up by casual fans who hardly cared about the band instead of hardcore fans. I remember a guy who spent the entire length of Politik texting and never looked up to watch the band during the entire song. As soon as Viva La Vida started, he jumped to his feet and acted like he was the biggest Coldplay fan there was. I'm happy to have won the free tickets allowing me to sell the tickets I had bought, but I really wasn't connected into the show like previous times seeing them, even in much larger venues. It was great to talk to Will afterwards, who was his usual very friendly and accomodating self. I mentioned to him that I've been seeing the band since they played the Virgin Megastore and Mayan Theater in the same night in February 2001 and he thanked me for that. Super nice guy.
  6. I don't believe he actually bussed the audience to the show. Last night's episode was made up of segments tapes on different days. The James Franco interview was taped last Thursday, the same day as the Rise of the Planet of the Apes premiere at the Chinese. I'm not sure if Jimmy tapes the opening last Thursday, but it may have been.
  7. For buying tickets on the secondary market, you're better off buying them on Ebay, as if you make your payment through Paypal, you'll be protected. If the tickets turn out to be fake, you file a complaint against the seller and odds are very high in your favor that'll your money would have been refunded.
  8. On Ebay, it is primarily a seller called Doitbigtickets.com that is selling the Samsung tickets, and as of right now, looking at their completed items, they have sold 49 pairs of Coldplay tickets for this show, with 18 more listings still active. That's a total of 67 pairs that this guy supposedly has. They also are selling for other of the Samsung concerts in other cities. Maybe they just had incredible luck in winning this many pairs from the website, or they have some contact within the organization who is making these tickets available to them. I really wonder what's going to happen to all of these people buying them, as I myself was panicked because when i won my pair, I had used the shortened version of my first name, when it says you have to have full legal name. They emailed back to me saying I should be ok, that what they really are after is people where the names are clearly different. I have a feeling that some people aren't going to get in with these tickets.
  9. Mine was a hard ticket, but you can definitely sell pdf tickets (Ticketfast) on Ebay. That may actually make it more attractive to people due to the short time frame. If you're only looking to recover your costs, you can list for for about $190 or best offer. The shortest duration for doing the buy it now with best offer option type listings is 3 days, so it would cover you beyond the concert time. If not sold by like 5pm on Wednesday, you could cancel your listing and take a print out of the ticket to the venue to try to sell. In this case, I would also bring along a print out of your original email from Ticketmaster, so a buyer would fell more comfortable to it being legit. You could also email this Ticketmaster email to a buyer off Ebay. That's a great ticket, so you should be able to sell it and hopefully recover your entire cost. Good luck.
  10. That's a great seat, slightly better than mine which was in 201, row 3. I listed mine on Ebay for $20 above my cost in order to cover the Ebay and Paypal fees and it just sold, so you may have luck on there.
  11. I have 1 excellent ticket for sale for face value. It's a floor seat in section 201, row 3, which is the third row behind the pit. I paid $170 including the fees, which is what I'll sell it for. I am located about 1-2 miles from UCLA so I can meet near there or arrange a place that's convenient. I won tickets, so I no longer need this ticket and a guy who said he'd buy it dropped out. Please email me at [email protected] if interested. It's a hard ticket and I have the Ticketmaster receipt to go along with it.
  12. I won a pair of tickets, but did not see the statement that full legal name must be used until now. I put down the shortened version of my first name, so I'm going to be very upset if that minor issue prevents me from getting in. I have emailed them to explain, so hopefully I can work it out.
