Zomby signs to XL Recordings for Let’s Jam EPs One of the UK’s most unique musicians readies a pair of EPs for XL. Zomby has signed to XL Recordings and will deliver two new EPs for the longstanding British label next month. The enigmatic producer has left his previous home of 4AD, who delivered his last two albums Dedication and With Love. Zomby has kept relatively quiet since the release of his last full-length, recently updating Wiley’s ‘Step 20′ for Big Dada and remixing Gwilym Gold’s single ‘Flex’. Floating Points announces debut album Elaenia Floating Points has announced his debut album, Elaenia. Elaenia will be released on November 6 through Pluto (UK) and Luaka Bop (US).Floating Points’ first productions emerged in 2008 and 2009, around the same time that he moved from Manchester to London (where he, fairly famously, studied neuroscience). He collaborated with early supporter Alexander Nut on Eglo, a label that has housed music by Fatima, Funkineven and Floating Points himself. Eglo has remained the main home for Floating Points’ music, though he’s also released on Planet Mu, Ninja Tune and Border Community. He also played a key role at now-closed London club Plastic People, as both a resident and a sounding board for its set-up. Rabit takes Communion on debut album for Tri Angle Tri Angle has announced details of the debut album from Houston-based club producer Rabit. According to the label, Communion is “inspired by issues relating to sexuality, gender, ownership of our natural bodies, societal and governmental injustices, and media manipulations,” and sees the producer’s singular club sound run “the full gamut of emotions”. Though Communion is Rabit’s debut album, it’s his second release on Tri Angle, which put out the blistering Baptizm EP earlier this year. He was snapped up by the label off the back of an impressive run of abrasive, alien club tracks that have caught the ears of everyone from the Janus crew to Mumdance and Logos. In June, he announced his own label, Halcyon Veil. [video=youtube;EiuvAJZVohU]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiuvAJZVohU http://www.factmag.com/2015/08/25/rabit-communion-tri-angle/

James Blake Says Kanye West and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon Will Appear on His New Album Earlier this year, James Blake announced that his new LP would be called Radio Silence. He also alluded to the possibility that Kanye West and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon would appear on the album. In a new interview with Esquire, Blake confirmed that both West and Vernon will be featured on Radio Silence. When asked if the two men would appear on the Overgrown follow-up, he replied, “I can confirm that they’re on it. Kanye — I’m with him today. We’d already started on something … today we should nail something down. If it doesn’t end up on the album you know it hasn’t worked.” Vernon and Blake previously collaborated on the track "Fall Creek Boys Choir". Vernon and West have linked up multiple times in the past five years. West called Blake his "favorite artist" and invited him to collaborate early last year. Looks like that's finally happening. http://pitchfork.com/news/60452-james-blake-says-kanye-west-and-bon-ivers-justin-vernon-will-appear-on-his-new-album/
