  1. :laugh3: Gotta remember she used to dress like this: Do you all think she will be at the Oscars to sorta promote Iron Man 3? She's not one of the presenters this year.
  2. (Completely off topic, I apologize...but somewhat related to power couples) Tash, how did you sneak off into the Grammy's with Gotye? :escaping2: :escaping2: :escaping2:
  3. Excerpts from "Queen B's" interview with Vogue:
  4. Thanks! We were in Amsterdam, Paris, Brugge and Antwerp over Christmas and New Years, so we skipped all the yucky snow before and after - we even had blue sky days much to my surprise! Now we are busy stocking up on Dutch cheese, French wine, Belgian beer and every kind of European chocolate we can get our hands on here in the US. Speaking of the Grammys, I wonder how bummed Chris may have been to miss Springsteen's MusiCares tribute show...I'll bet he would have bid on the big prize (Fender Telecaster guitar signed with a Sharpie by Springsteen, Sting, Tim McGraw, John, Young and others, eight tickets and backstage passes to any E Street Band concert, lasagna made by his mother)
  5. Hey ladies! I'm back from my Internetz hiatus. All your countries are lovely (Belgium, Holland, France) and I want to live in Europe :( Thanks to this thread I also bought some Kinder eggs and very much enjoyed them :) Also got caught up on all ze hotness. I wonder what Chris is getting in such good shape for!
  6. I'm BACK! Gwyneth has put on some backing vocals on Holly Williams' album "the highway" (link). No wonder she pitched it on her latest Goop and hinted at which track she was on.
  7. It's been a great one year at Coldplaying for me and I look forward to many more! I do not have a picspam ready but I do have thanks to give for making this a wonderful place to hang out. To all the wonderful members of this thread and the forum - happy holidays to you all! I'm taking a month-long break from the internetz and coming to some of your countries actually - France, Netherlands and Belgium - before heading home Happy new year, all! See you on the other side.
  8. yup...must be around the same time as this pic in august :)
  9. Apple is so tall (and pretty) already. I see modeling in her future if she chooses it :) Also I love G's boots.
  10. HAHA! If I had met Guy selling hash in my hometown of Bangalore, my life would have been so different  :laugh3:
  11. Not sure if this is the right place for it, but hopefully people that use Instagram will read it :) Instagram may have ads, let companies use your photos for the ads Link: LA Times In all likelihood, Instagram may change their policy based on the online uproar, but in case you want to be more cautious, there is a guide to downloading your photos and deleting your account here.
  12. WELL WELL WELL [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Its-All-Good-Delicious-Recipes/dp/1455522716/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1355802157&sr=8-13&keywords=gwyneth+paltrow]It's All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great: Gwyneth Paltrow: 9781455522712: Amazon.com: Books[/ame] Book Description Release Date: April 2, 2013 Gwyneth Paltrow, Academy-Award winning actress and bestselling cookbook author, returns with recipes for the foods she eats when she wants to lose weight, look good, and feel more energetic. Last spring, after a particularly grueling schedule and lapse of overindulgence, Gwyneth Paltrow was feeling fatigued and faint. A visit to her doctor revealed that she was anemic, vitamin D deficient, and that her stress levels were sky high. He prescribed an elimination diet to clear out her system and help her body heal. But this meant no coffee, no alcohol, no dairy, no eggs, no sugar, no shellfish, no deep-water fish, no wheat, no meat, no soy, nothing processed at all! An avid foodie, Paltrow was concerned that so many restrictions would make mealtime boring, so, together with Julia Turshen, she compiled a collection of 185 delicious, easy recipes that followed her doctor's guidelines. And it worked! After changing her diet, Paltrow healed totally, felt more energetic and looked great. Now, in IT'S ALL GOOD, she shares the go-to dishes that have become the baseline for the restorative diet she turns to whenever she feels she needs it. Recipes include: Huevos Rancheros, Hummus Tartine with Scallion-Mint Pesto, Salmon Burgers with Pickled Ginger, even Power Brownies, Banana "Ice Cream," and more! Source
  13. Gun violence has just become so common now. Mass murders just brings it back up into the collective consciousness. Around 50 people die in Chicago every weekend from gun violence (link). "In the twenty-four hour period since the shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, ten people were shot in the city of Chicago. Another weekend. Another massacre on the streets of the Windy City."
  14. Very unlikely source, but Marlyn Manson had posted his thoughts in RollingStone after he was in the spotlight for 'influencing' the Columbine killers. Even though that was in 1999, some of his comments still ring true. Some of it is controversial, but worth a read. http://www.rollingstone.com/culture/news/columbine-whose-fault-is-it-19990624
  15. finally got around to reading this. Thank you for sharing! My fav non-geeky tidbits (which i did not gloss over)
  16. I hope this time people will actually pay attention to the issue for longer than a week. In all prior shootings this year, everyone talks about it and is super enraged for a few days - and then just move on, till a month later it happens yet again.
  17. The apocalypse might as well come now. It's so senseless.
  18. I think most people were expecting him to be "annoying" or "whiney" as the popular 'cool' opinion of Coldplay is, and everyone automatically jumps to judgement based on who he is married to . No one knows him for the kind, charming, funny guy that he is!

  22. Interesting! It's $1,000 minimum and the estimated value is $10,000
  23. :dazzled: Chris Martin and I have a new holiday tradition: reading each other full chapters from "I, Partridge". link
  24. Not sure if this was posted before: R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe Explains Chris Martin Team-Up at 12-12-12 "He's very persuasive," Stipe says of Martin's persistence to get him onstage for R.E.M.'s classic "Losing My Religion" [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qsq8YWnqXbc]Michael Stipe's Return to Music - "12-12-12" The Concert for Sandy Relief - YouTube[/ame]
