  1. idk it just didn't register with me. It's almost pains me to listen to that album lol, but some people feel that way about certain types of music or albums, so I get it and it doesn't mean that I think it was a bad album because its far from it, it just did nothing for me personally. I'm glad a lot people like it, heck I'm glad if people like any type of Coldplay music. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/images/smilies1/laugh4.gif
  2. so question are you not a Coldplay fan anymore because of MX or you just like them less than before?
  3. I would have to say NO, but then again X & Y is my least favorite album by Coldplay.
  4. To me that is what pop music is , like its suppose be somewhat cheesy sometimes over the top and even a little campy at times. That's fun of it! Now don't give wrong I'm not a big fan of this video either, but compared to other videos its somewhat extravagant in a cheesy way. :)
  5. I actually think their pop/rock because they do have some elements of rock in there like the guitars and such. Plus they did not have a pop/rock category so they threw them in the rock section. Them as a band are not enough to be categorized as full on pop, at least not yet. But I hope Linkin Park takes this or Coldplay I guess . I really don't care who wins these awards because to me they don't seem that important. I also know some people have been harsh on Linkin Park changing their sound for this album just like Coldplay fans have with Mylo, but actually really like it. I've always liked Linkin Park anyways.
  6. Thank you, and yeah Chris loves pop music so much that a lot of the pop icons of today inspired Mylo, such as Gaga and Rihanna. You might not like them, but that doesn't mean that those artist are not good at what they do and obviously Chris agrees.
  7. Personally I don't see what the big deal is. He just did something nice for a fan. I say fan because this guy or teenager, I don't know admires him. So put ourselves in his shoes, if someone you really looked up to went out of their way at their concert to acknowledge you, this would be like one of your happiest moments ever and that's very sweet of him to do. BTW I like Lady Gaga, thank you very much.
  8. First of all I've live in America practically all my life and where I live the only Coldplay songs I've heard on the radio is speed of sound Viva la Vida and sometimes paradise. They themselves have said that they have never been a singles band, especially in America. And for me I'm glad about that, because do know what type of songs that get popular in the states and do extremely well are club songs, with few exceptions like Gotye, and Adele, which I am extremely proud of those two because those two artist shows that true talent can really shine through if people just listen and take note. I actually think that Coldplay really blew up in this era. I guess because for me this is the era where I became a colplayer, before this era I was like yeah I like Viva la Vida, the scientist, etc. I was like I think that their okay, a good band not great, nothing special. But as soon as I heard paradise, my mind just switched and I know many coldplay fans hate that song, but for me it is brilliant! It was like something as simple as the word paradise, where everyone has their own paradise just resonated with me. It was so beautiful and so relate-able, which takes me back to a quote where Chris said that sometimes it just takes one song for that person to come around and say yes I finally get it and for me paradise is that one song. So this era for me is the equivalent to the Rush of Blood to the Head, not in sales or popularity, but with pure artistry and brilliance.
  9. hmm, i like the remix
  10. His argument is weak. All I got out of this article was that he is disappointed in that fact of what Coldplay should have or could have been. Like they could have been the next Led Zeppelin, but decided to take the pop route, which some how makes them inferior. The whole part of how the don't write great music because Chris Martin is not being challenged by his bandmates, made me laugh.
  11. In conclusion music is subjective. It's all personal opinions. Shoot I've heard people say Coldplay are innovative and I've herd people say Radiohead are overrated. It's just all depends on how you feel, no one is wrong or right.
  12. I like you. You say everything that Im thinking, but is too lazy to say. But i will say this I dont think Coldplay is trying to be the next pink floyd or whatevr, but I think that have the potential to do so, if they really wanted too.
  13. idk what is it about MX that some people on here hate so much. Is it because its poppy, not poppy enough, lyricism, not creative enough, or other reasons. Im just curious
