  1. Which hotel? Hi Liz, What hotel was it or are you sworn to secrecy? Did you see the band or hear word that they were checking in? Sorry you're not "staying" the night with them. :)
  2. I for one would be thrilled if they did a few more intimate shows at some point. It would be great if they could figure out a way to make the audience based on real fans who have been following the band and know more than a few songs instead of people who can afford to just pay their way in. I know they give away seats to their shows to people who are in the rafters but that can only be a small percentage.
  3. May depend on how tall you are. I'm 5'3" (1.6 meters if I converted right) and had 7th row floor seats 4th in from the ramp to the x stage. Sometimes I had to shift around to see past the people in front of me but was able to see everything really well. Especially Guy who is even more majestic and radiant in person. Sigh!
  4. I'd go early if it's the last night in that city. I hung out along with some other Coldplayers after the July 9th show in DC. Despite security saying don't bother we stayed. Then later another security person told us since it was their final night in the city they left straight away and caught the last British Airways flight from Dulles to Heathrow. She seemed pretty tuned in and was actually pretty nice and gave us some details of how they do a runner at the venue. She claimed the band never sticks around but I knew that wasn't true having read about people meeting them after some shows. She told us the band had family in town and they went to a sushi place near Verizon Center after the first show on the 8th, had a big party to celebrate their upcoming break and didn't go back to the hotel until around 4:00AM. She said they stayed at Hotel Monaco which is a small boutique hotel right down the street from Verizon Center. Just in case we hung around longer until one of the roadies came up and said they left so I did too. Of course he could have been lying in which case I'll curl up into a ball and die!
  5. I had VIP tixs to the July 9th show in DC and the instructions were to pick them up the night of the show. I had to show an id and the credit card I used to make the purchase. Perhaps there's a way for your friend to pick them up ahead of time tho they may be suspicious why she'd need to do that. It might just be best to have your friend contact the box office and see if they can make an exception. I REALLY hope it works out for you! Good luck.
