  1. Hi, I left the NJ show a bit early but wished I hadn't. I should've known they would do a runner and head to NYC. The show was great but as you probably already know there is NOTHING else around the arena unlike Verizon Center in D.C. BTW it was fun meeting you and your friends after the show in D.C July 9th. Call me biased but as D.C native it ranked as my best show so far with Mohegan Sun a close second. That's a great place to see a show too! Can't wait til the next tour and album. Hope to see you at a show before too long. :)
  2. It's NBC. they have local news on now. Said Train,Beyonce and Coldplay are coming up.
  3. Just heard Carson Daly say on his New Year's Coldplay's coming up. Guess they are broadcasting a song live from Barclay? God I wish I was there!
  4. Yes,it was you:D I would have been sobbing and overwhelmed too. So happy for you!!
  5. I went to the Mohegan Sun show using Stubhub tickets and had no problem. I've used them for other events too. When I was heading in to Saturday's show the couple in front of me had bought from a scalper and were turned away since the tickets were fake. I felt really bad for them but you are definitely taking a big chance if you go that route.
  6. I've had both experiences with varied results. I'm small like you and unless you can get the first 10 rows I wouldn't go for floor seats since you are likely to be blocked by folks who are taller than you. The only way I might go a bit further back on the floor is if I knew the seats were a few rows from the walkway to the X stage. In DC I was 11th row on the right side(by Guy) but 4 seats from the walkway which was amazing and I could see really well. Chris even locked eyes with me. Sigh! Totally different experience in NJ. I was 10th row also on the floor but in front of the X stage (section 2). It felt more removed except when they came down for P.O.C etc. Even then it wasn't great since there was a really tall couple in front of me who spent 90% of the show making out and only knew a few songs. Get a room people and save the good seats for the real fans!!! Also the security was a total pain. I had an aisle seat and would have had a better vantage point if she wasn't all over me the second I set my toe in the aisle. At Mohegan Sun I couldn't get/afford floor seats but was in section 26 on left side (by Jonny) 10th row on the aisle so I could see everything. I'd go for something like that if you can. Good luck, it'll be a life changing experience no matter where you end up.
  7. How amazing,of course I'm jealous but I'm happy for you too. I think I saw you after the show, outside the arena entrance holding one of Will's drumsticks(or the other person who got them). You looked over the moon!
  8. Another amazing show and my first at Mohegan Sun. It's a great venue;feels smaller and more intimate than the other venues I've seen them in. I was in section 26 on the left side of the stage so I had a great view of Jonny. The band seemed in great spirit, full of energy after some well deserved time off. It was fun to see Matt McGinn and one of the women on the crew having a blast dancing and goofing around a few minutes before the boys went on. Only wish I'd brought along my copy of Roadie to see if he'd sign it. Not at all surprised to hear the band met up with some Sandy Hook kids beforehand(maybe that's why they were late coming onstage). It's in their nature and not splashing it all over the media themselves is yet another example of how selfless they are. Don't think I'll be able to go to either Barclay show.:( The withdrawal symptoms have already started setting in! I've got my fingers crossed that the Latin America tour will happen after all!!
  9. I think the prices are higher for the NYE show w/Jay Z; up to $550.00+. I guess it's the combo of New Year's and a double billing? You're right, the 30th is definitely less expensive.
  10. The crowd's pumped up not overzealous or anything. It is definitely loud. If your kids have sensitive ears maybe bring earplugs. Chris keeps the cursing to a minimum. If your kids are fans I'd take them in a heartbeat but if not,I'd get a sitter and save the money.
  11. Just saw on Live Nation that the NYE show starts at 9:00 whereas the show on the 30th starts at 7:00. Leads me to believe it is possible they'll play to midnight on New Years.
  12. I think it's for the New York shows only. I checked the link and there wasn't any info about any shows as of about 8:00PM EST
  13. Just looked up Barclay and they have a little over 18,000 capacity. Of course some seats will be taken away by the X stage.
  14. Couldn't believe the news when I went to the Coldplay site. So thrilled and excited to get to see them another time. I could go a 100 times and never tire of their amazing shows. Haven't been to Barclay Center but I'm thrilled they will finally head back to New York!! I hope for those of you that haven't had the band visit that maybe this holds hope out that they will do some more shows in the not too distant future.
  15. Dear Paris, Did you make any changes or add new art for the concert venues featured on the live DVD as a way to add even more impact on film? The graphics were truly stunning at the concerts I saw; thanks for that. Best Wishes, Eleanor
  16. Were you able to get tickets? I checked the link to the cinema's website and they didn't show it as playing yet. BTW did you go to the Verizon Center show(s)? I was there on July 9th; 7th row floor 4th from runway to X stage on right side. TOTALLY amazing!!! Best birthday ever!
  17. Don't think so unless you know how to reactivate it. i wore my xyloband from the Washington,DC show to The Meadlowlands in New Jersey and it didn't light up. It'd be amazing if they gave them out at the theater, fingers crossed!
  18. Maybe the Aussie version of The Voice is different than the US one but I watch the show and I never hear the judges put down or belittle the contestants. I've always found them to give pretty honest and constructive criticism. Having said that I'm still not sure it's a direction Chris would go, being a judge on any show so the rumors probably is nonsense.
  19. Hi, Did you go to the Jersey shows? Any luck meeting them? I went on the 4th but didn't stick around figuring they weren't hanging out and were headed straight to Manhattan.
  20. That's amazing. I'm impressed they gave you earplugs. The VIP party was mostly some food and drink. I did meet some great folks including a nice mom and daughter who'd traveled all the way from Venezuela! The hostess was very nice too and took the time to chat with some of us. She can't get you anywhere w/meeting the band since she'll work for Izod Center and not the band directly. Maybe seek out some of the crew members instead? As for the drawing they handed out paper tickets w/numbers and drew one. Chances depends on how many show up to the pre-show event. I don't remember the exact time but it was some time past the regular check in time. You don't need to arrive hours ahead of time and you can always ask the host/hostess when and if they'll do it so you can be around if you decide to do some wandering.
  21. What a great experience for you and your daughter though I'd SERIOUSLY think about bringing her some earplugs since it is loud and my ears were ringing afterward. You want to protect her delicate hearing. I was in section 7 row 7 for my last show-amazing seats. I'm section 5 row 7 tonight. Anyways I had VIP tixs for one of the DC shows and arrived about 30 mins after the VIP check in time. No sound check; they are rare these days and would only happen on nite one if at all. No meet and greet either. They did have a drawing about an hour into the VIP party and a guy won a program signed by the band. Don't know if they do that for every show Have fun, maybe I'll spot you there.
  22. Time Doors Open? I'm going to tomorrow's show. Could someone let me know when the parking and doors opened at Izod Center tonight? Counting down the hours....
