  4. Thought I'd share the final outcome of my Jacket making. And here are the rest of the album showing the transformation process.
  5. I this Not big enough? This one came from Coldplay website. It depends really on the quality of the printer and dpi.
  6. I'm not terribly sure because of the fact that Will rather seriously. Chris admitted that he thinks X&Y was way too long at ~hour and he said he likes it when albums are short around ~40 minutes. They always have songs that they cut off of the album and are very brutal about it. So that's what they did with Viva and I'd be surprised if we didn't see an MX EP. Car Kids is really the only proof you need. The fact that it exists and is teased so much means we'll definitely hear it one day since it's from the middle of the MX era they wouldn't release it as a single so soon after the record. Car Kids is going to be the lead track on their EP much like Life in Technicolor II was to Prospekt's March. Jokes aside.
  7. In the , Will says that the record is about 85 minutes long and they have to cut it down. Mylo Xyloto is only 44 minutes long! Now figure they trimmed some pieces off the songs currently on the album but Prospekts March only had 20 minutes of new songs (not including remixes). If you figure moving to mars is included in that 85 then you have a 49 minutes accounted for and figure the songs were supposed to be a little longer we'll say generously the band trimmed 11 minutes off that's 60 minutes accounted for. 25 minutes where did they go? Definitely EP material I think to coincide with the release of the MX comics b/c from the end of the MX Tour (late September) to February is the perfect amount of time to mix and master the remaining EP songs.
  8. I'm closing in on a search for a jacket similar to Chris' and I wanted to get some opinions and which you guys think are the best. I'm going after this navy blue one. Whichever one it is I can make small modifications (such as removing extra clothing, patches, etc) so keep that in mind. Option 1: M-65 Field Coat. This looks good in picture but they're actually quite large with a lot of fabric in reality which is what I'm worried about as well as the lack of buttons. Option 2: BDU 100% Cotton Jacket-Shirt. This is a lighter option but I'm worried about the lack of buttons on the jacket and the weird-ness of the pockets. (Chris' navy blue jacket has 4 pockets but the bottom two pockets do not have flaps). Option 3: Cotton/Jean Jacket. This has the best material of the choices but it has weird embroiderings and only 2 pockets to boot. But I think it also has a pretty good collar and the best button style. Those are the top 3 I've come across so I'd like some opinions and if you guys have any better suggestions please post them also keep in mind it isn't terrible difficult to remove small amounts of fabric and just put buttons on yourself.
  9. Don't mean to be a know-it-all but it's technically 'against the rules' (ehem... illegal). For BLR to use visuals (In My Place music video) which is a big no-no for YouTube partners. Some companies care, others don't. Unfortunately this one is notorious for caring a lot.
  10. In Philly they only played 99 Problems by Jay-Z. It was awesome.
  11. I saw Coldplay the first night they were in Philly about a month ago and they didn't have a "fuck-up" at all. I've watched a lot of Chris messing up and I don't think it's entirely scripted but rather Chris uses it as a 'tool.' In an interview once Chris said that in arenas he can tell when a song isn't doing to hot when he sees people going through the silhouettes of the exits lights. I think that if Chris isn't feeling enough energy coming from a song he'll "fuck-up" in the middle of it. This always brings new found energy into song that wasn't there before. Glastonbury 2012 is a perfect example. Us Against the World, new song, not a classic yet. Crowd it a little chatty, a little bored with a new slow, acoustic song. Chris fucks up and gets people a laugh and paying attention again. Notice how Chris never fucks up during Viva, Charlie Brown, Fix You, Yellow...the hits and if he does (by accident) he addresses it at the end and doesn't stop the good vibes in the middle of the song. That's because everyone loves them and there is already plenty of energy flowing. Chris especially fucks up during Up In Flames on the Mylo Xylotour, that's because it's a slower song with less energy than say Princess of China, which comes before, and Warning Sign (a classic) which comes after. Back to when I was in Philly the first night, a lot of people sat down during Up In Flames. Chris could definitely feel this loss of energy but he didn't fuck-up. So the next night in Philly Will's drum machine 'broke' during Princess of China so they (unfortunately) had to play Trouble (a classic) instead of Up In Flames. (This is just a little theory I had not sure if I even think that's how it happened). Anyways, I digress. The fuck-ups are definitely there on purpose but are a split second decision kind of thing based on Chris' read of the crowd. Works like a charm every time too. I don't mind it either because personally I enjoy it when Chris talks to the crowd before a song. I don't think he does it enough, actually. That's my theory, anyways.
  12. Yeah, I can, do you have any suggestions though? I know of no good upload sites. Edit: On the official post there is more download options. (LINK)
  13. Sorry this is really late, but I downloaded all the video footage from the first night Coldplay were in Philly and made them into a multi-angle concert DVD of sorts. The audio is also very good for secondhand. It originally was as a gift for a friend but I figure I'd post it here incase anyone wanted it. I mixed the audio but never got around to mastering it so I apologize. Big thanks to Tapehead2, vwall, and aerofan for letting me mooch off their footage and audio. It's a big file (3.5 GB,1:30:00,HD) and it's split up into four parts so you need all four parts before you can uncompress it. You'll need a program like WinRAR to do so. Enjoy. Check out this link for the post with 3 download options.
  14. It seems the market for the MX era patches has run dry :\ The only patches left are the ring sleeve patch. Anyone have any extra ones they are willing to sell?
  15. That's really good. I definitely appreciate the spectrum of colors. If I could leave a critique I'd say there is too much black. I feel the MX style has an array of colors in the background instead of black. This is amazing though, hopefully it will inspire some others and we can see other cool stuff like this!
