  1. When you say "Was Letting Go, Not Taking Part" whenever someone says "The hardest part..." When you've come up with the best times of day/weather to listen to specific Coldplay albums. When you play 'Yellow' at a talent show.
  2. To me, 'Atlas' sounds very much like a combination of Moving To Mars and Parachutes rather than A Rush of Blood to the Head -- The choruses remind me of 'For You' while the verses remind me of Moving to Mars. Edit: And I just bought the album here in the United States -- Currently it is at 12.
  3. I still say that the next album will have a long title.
  4. The 'Atlas' artwork reminds me of Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends -- it has that painting feel to it (it looks very canvas-driven, which I suppose could be a direction for LP6). They also have a new 'logo', or at least Text. It's not the original fault (What was it called? Albetross or something akin to that?) but it does look rather nice, better than Mylo Xyloto.
  5. What is 6/8?
  6. When is Atlas being released again?
  7. That would be 3 years: November 2011 - November 2012 (1 Year) - November 2013 (2 Years) - November 2014 (3 Years)
  8. 1) 11 2) 53.25 3) July 4) Dark with stripes 5) Rock with use of subtle strings--perhaps some acoustic mixed in and maybe a pop single.
  9. This is basically the exact thing that happened to me.
  10. I still think it is going to be a long title, as with the past 5 album trend (Short, Long, Short, Long, Short...)
  11. Oh I get it-- 'Fresh Strawberries' is about 'Strawberry Swing.'
  12. No I meant the actual Archduke. He made some rather good music. Ironically. LP6 should be about him.
  13. I'm not talking about knowing their whole catalogue or where Jonny was born and in what hospital and how much he weighed at birth--I've never even been to a concert of theirs. I'm simply speaking of the crowd who hears one minute of Viva La Vida on the radio and then go around saying "Oh yeah I love Vida la Clocks they're awesome!" The first song that I knowingly heard from Coldplay was in fact Viva La Vida. It was because of that song that I began to like Coldplay. I'm not saying that you can't listen to just one song and then claim you are a fan. I'm saying that you can't jump on the bandwagon of their most popular song just to say you are a fan. There's a difference between liking a song, and liking the band. For instance, I like 'Take Me Out' by Franz Ferdinand. I thusly consider myself a small fan of Franz Ferdinand, but more so of that song. I don't own any albums of his, and I haven't heard many other songs by him. On the other hand, I like quite a few Beatles songs. However, I do not consider myself a fan of the Beatles. I'm not saying that anyone who hasn't heard all of Coldplay's albums 10 times is not a "true fan"; for the longest time I had never listened to X&Y or A Rush of Blood to the Head; however, I still considered myself a fan of Coldplay. So when I say 'fan,' I mean someone who likes the band and/or a song(s) that they perform, in contrast to someone who hears a song on the radio and just likes that particular song. For instance, I've heard many-a-times people say "I love Nirvana! Smells Like Teen Spirit is my favorite song!" Now that's fine--you can love "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and be a huge Nirvana fan. However, those same people, when asked "What's your second favorite song of theirs?" will then go "Uh, I don't know..." not out of being unable to choose, but simply because they don't know any other songs. Those persons then I would not consider to be 'huge fans' as they stated themselves; rather, they are fans of the song. In short, it takes little to nothing to be a fan.
  14. He means fans that actually like Coldplay and people who have only heard Viva La Vida and Paradise on the radio (And know few if any other songs), yet exclaim they are Coldplay fans.
  15. I still don't umderstand why people dislike 'X&Y' so much; it's probably my second favourite album: 1. A Rush of Blood to the Head 2. X&Y 3. Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends 4. Parachutes 5. Mylo Xyloto
  16. Honestly, 'Atlas' looks like a Mylo Xyloto era song, leading me to believe that it will not reflect their new album (the writing--as in font--and the pictures seem very akin to that of Mylo Xyloto).
  17. I say Cubism or Surrealism.
  18. And sign to Sub-Pop. It needs to happen.
  19. Rihanna.
  20. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Gandhi would disagree. Anyway, I think there's going to be an 11-minute anthem on LP6. Just because they can.
  21. I wasn't assuming, it was just that I had heard others mention it.
  22. So, I know that a lot of people have been talking about the "Trilogies", like the album trilogy (I.E. Parachutes - AROBTTH - X&Y; VLVODAAHF - MX - LP6), one of those trilogies being the East Asia trilogy (Lovers in Japan, Princess of China, LP6). However, after listening to Viva La Vida... again, shouldn't the East Asia trilogy actually be a quadrilogy with the release of LP6, since Viva La Vida also had Chinese Sleep Chant? Just a random thought...
  23. Chris has spiked hair now. Their next album is going to be punk. Definitely.
  24. Hendrix had his Sgt. Pepper type artistic jackets too. Chris needs to do something like it. http://lacaraocultadelrock.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/jimi-hendrix.jpg
