  1. I have never been a huge fan of Clocks.. it is a great song but I really hope that "the scientist" is the song that will define coldplay. It's their most emotional song in my opinion and I think that emotion is what separates Coldplay from all the other bands out there.
  2. Everyone talks about the sadness of the song. What is it about? I kind of saw it as a happy song, like when everything is coming together in one's life. But i don't know
  3. I just want to say that I am a huge Coldplay fan and have listened to every song they have released and I have to say that Gravity is my all time favorite without question. The piano is simple, but at the same time brilliant. As of now, it is just Chris playing solo (at least in the version I have heard), but it still rocks. I think that if the song ever makes it to an album, the rest of the boys will add something to it, kinda like how Amsterdam started only Chris but eventually included the whole band. Anyway, just wanted to make sure a damn good song was appreciated to the extent that it should be. Also, what is everyone's interpretation for what the lyrics are all about?
  4. The version of "Life is for Living" that closes the concert part of the DVD rocks. That song is absolutely wonderful when the piano replaces the acoustic guitar.
  5. ummmm. i was supposed to name two. I guess The Scientist just because i have listened to that song about a thousand times in the last two years and i will remember the last two years of high school if someone plays that song even when i'm ninety. Good thread gordon
  6. Politik. "Give me love over this....."
  7. Absolutely not. That would be a waste of album space. But Coldplay does do great covers like when they went from The Scientist in "What a Wonderful World" That was amazing
  8. Thanks to those who greeted me
  9. Apple is a weird name. Wasn't the baby due months from now? i dont even know
  10. Thanks for the info
  11. I could see ladder to the sun being a very big single in the future. it is catchy enough to be one of coldplays most popular songs ever
  12. I know this many be hard for some to indentify, but I was wondering what people thought their favorite moment on AROBTTH was. Mine are as follows (in no particular order) 1. Towards the end of Politik... "Give me love over this,".... followed directly by the "epic" finish where all the instruments come together. 2. After the first chorus in "The Scientist" when the acoustic guitar joins the piano. 3. The end of "The Scientist" when Chris hits the high notes above the distorted guitar. Such an awesome moment 4. The end of clocks when Will starts hitting the symbols and Chris is singing "Home, home, where I wanted to go" 5. After the first verse in "A rush of blood to the head" when the electric guitar comes in to join the acoustic, then the drums and bass join in and Chris says the amazing line "I'm gonna buy a gun and start a war, If you could tell me something worth fighting for." 6. Jonny's guitar riff in "In My Place" 7. When the piano first comes in in Amsterdam after like fifteen seconds or so. Those are my favs... clearly i have too much time on my hands to be thinking about this, but give me you opinion
  13. Does anyone think Gravity will be on the new album? That song is one of my favorites
  14. I haven't been on the site in a while and was wondering what the latest news was concerning the release of the third album? Any big news or is it still projected for early 2005? Also, someone was mentioning the following songs as possibly being on album # 3: "Groves of Autumn," "Cross Roads," and "No longer here." Has anyone else heard of these songs? Have they been performed live? What are they like?
