well, I am single and it's been a while since last time I got laid, so I might think about it... :surprised: It's funny to read this because I also read what you wrote first. :P I agree with you here. Now that I've had more time to think about it, I see that the most superficial problem is the sexual preference of the person... Like... OMG, A GAY PERSON LIKES ME. Hah, what a big deal... The actual problem is the unrequited love... It can be a really bad thing.

So, obviously they had a mistake. They replied my e-mail apologizing for the inconvenients presented in the last 3 days. The problems have been corrected now. Aditionally they extended the deadline for submissions until April 30, 2010. So I can wait until that date to send it... :smug2: j/k I'll send it as soon as I can.

Why do I feel so happy for such a stupid thing that will never happen? :wacky: Btw, nice to know we live near.

Well.. From 00:00 of today (local time) the page where I was doing the submission says: The submission program is now officially over. We appreciate your participation in this year's submissions and we hope to see you at the meeting. And it says my submission is incomplete but won't allow me to edit it. I also think like you do, thanks a lot you for your comments... I wrote an e-mail to them asking. :angry: The thing is not THAT important but I hope I still have a chance to make it.

At this point I know that it doesn't but, why did I think it would? :bigcry:

If an application states: Deadline for submissions: March 31st, 2011. Is it the day 31 included within the submission time or not?

Don't worry, I'm 22 and I'm not even sure. :awesome: I learned not to worry much about such things. I know time will tell what's the right step to take.

I know, All's been getting back to normality, I believe... But still, I think it must really suck for people that confess their love to their friends and it just can't be requited. :blank: It brings to my head the stories of Christian Andersen, García Lorca or even Tchaikovsky, whose secret love for other men might not always be fulfilled causing them pain. Not really. I made this thread because it also happened to me, with a friend of mine (some weeks ago). But I don't think I handled the situation well... I felt incredibly awkward. And I've been feeling like it just ruined the friendship (or at least in regards to my attitude). But, what are you supposed to say then? like... omg, that's great! :confused:
