sounds like a compliment to me: surely it translates into you being a bubbly, fun person?
  2. that's ok, i teach it...:P
  3. does the fact that it's a promo copy make it somehow exalted? i am unfamiliar with these things...
  4. heh, congrats :P
  5. mmm, see the "snippet" thread :D
  6. hmm, the opening lines of the nme interview were from chris about the record company people getting ticked they were playing a bit of speed of sound for the mtv ads...: "I don't care what the record company thinks! We decide what to play, we decide when we play it and we decide who we play it to! Tell them we fucking said so!" :P
  7. Having dug out my old copy of X-Ray (a now defunct but quite decent music magazine that came out of Xfm) to look up those old b&w photos of coldplay taken by westenberg for the 2003 tour, i was re-reading the interview, having a laugh at Martin going on about being "coffee rock" and thought some nostalgic souls might enjoy this snippet...y'know, i remember actually transcribing a majority of this interview on the coldplay.com site for those who'd missed it when it first came out, but seeing as it wasn't deleted, i'm guessing it wasn't copyright infringing...if this is, by any chance, someone let me know : "Had fate taken another turn, Martin guesses he would have ended up "doing Elton John covers in Marriott hotels up and down the country. Enjoy the buffet..." he ponders. "This is 'Rocket Man'." Luckily he met Berryman, Buckland and Champion within the week [of moving to university] ("I knew that he was mad, " the latter says of his first meeting with Martin. "Absolutely bonkers.") and something clicked. "When we met it just seemed perfectly right," Buckland confirms matter-of-factly. "It couldn't possibly be any other way." "Like falling in love," Martin adds."
  8. i was merely suggesting other synonyms...:)
  9. to dawdle, to linger, to loiter, to postpone, to pause, to wait, to suspend, to put off, to waste time, to delay...
  10. what else does procrastination mean? ;)
  11. tis kind of cool, but to be honest, it isn't worth absolute poverty...plus, what about coldplay's new one? :P anyway, see you about!
  12. yikes, psychology! not my fave...film studies and music tec sounds excellent though :) anyway, i must depart and actually do some work, see you about :)
  13. buggery...any mate got it so you can at least borrow it?
  14. blissfullybroke, huh? :)
  15. heh, least you used your time slightly well by practising the guitar, mine was spent annoying the hell out of my flatmate by putting AROBTTH on repeat and watching simpsons episodes over and over :P what're you revising anyway?
  16. i've listened to it just the once (it sits, piled up with a stack of cds i keep in the side of my car doors) and found it a little hard to differentiate some of the tracks...worth another go...plus, there was a song on there, one before oh my god, which sounded incredibly beatles-esque :P
  17. problem with me was my little breaks would end up turning into having a sandwich...hmm, let's listen to the coldplay album for a bit...hey, there's that simpsons video...:)
  18. but penguins cannot fly, so that might count against them...by the way, seeing as you were quoting kaiser chiefs, have you heard the album, then?
  19. i'd go for penguins, myself: less diseases :)
  20. kaiser chiefs? :P
  21. hmm, revision's always been a tricky one for me: i've found that both methods of long sets of revising and last minute, day before revision have worked equally well and awfully...:P
  22. ah yeah, he said that in a live recording of a gig just after they'd finished playing it, i do believe :)
  23. what are the livestrong ones about? seems like an exceptionally good idea, really...already got an anti-bullying one, but frankly i don't give to charities enough as it is, apart form the alzheimers ones...
  24. hey, i have to teach a class next week and i've still not written up the lesson plans, so if you want to talk irresponsible procrastination...:D i find i always work best when at the last minute, anyway...
