Yes you're right. They wanted to make sure that the scalpers wouldn't be the only way to get tickets for people. Thats probably what would've happened if they sold them all in one go. Scalpers buy them and put them on eBay at higher prices. Now that won't do much good because tickets are still available through official sellers.

They didn't sell out immediately because they released the tickets gradually in order to prevent chaos and scalpers. That's also why you can still get tickets for some of the UK gigs.

I'm curious about the interview. I'm definately going to listen tonight. Chris' words probably were taken out of context. He has said things like these before, but he was usually only joking around, just being 'Chris'.

I'm going! I have a ticket for the 27th! I'll have to travel a bit further than just up the road, I'm from the Netherlands! ;) It's going to be my very first Coldplay concert ever and I'm going alone so I won't have to share it with anybody. Well nobody besides the other 30000 people who are going to be there......

Oh I know you were talking about 'Talk' :) , but owenrees mentioned someone on the coldplay.com messageboard who thought 'Square One' wasn't going to be on the album, when Debs never said any such thing.
