I feel like maybe that's why the song flopped. IMO, this song doesn't have much depth and is pretty generic. It's a good pop record, but I somehow knew the song wouldn't do well because it just sounds like any other pop song.

I'm not surprised. There are a lot of single and album release right now, With Ed and The Black Keys, IDK why they choose to release the album now but it will have an effect on the charts.

No real depth?? Have you really been listening? Depth goes beyond lyrics/words sometimes.

For me, INK & ASFOS are the weakest songs. This album is beautiful nonetheless. IMO, the name of the record really fits perfectly with the sound and the feel of it. The electric sounds don't bother me too much because I feel like they've proved themselves enough with their previous records. We know they can play and we know Chris can write great songs (Politik, Viva la Vida, 42, The Hardest Part, etc.) But some of the lyrics on this record are really bad?? Like in INK and True Love? ''All i know is that i'm lost, All i know is that I love you so'' OK not the best from Coldplay but it doesn't affect my love for this record because I feel like everything (except for ASFOS, I can't) fits well together. I can listen to this with my eyes closed and get transported someplace else.

After listening to it more than 20 x, the last minute and an half is really the only part I like, but I respect people who enjoy it. It's a fun song to dance to.

You have to be kidding me?? Are you serious?? How is Chris acting in his interview with Zane? People usually take pauses to form their thoughts. And he probably wanted to give an honest answer to those questions, like he does in almost all of his interviews!! And if you fail to recognize the beauty in simplicity, then i'm sorry for you. Good music is not all about heavy lyrics, there's this other thing call melody!! That's why Magic is so beautiful, because of its simplicity. And the lyrics are just right, they convey the message of the song very well. He doesn't have to say everything in detail for us to understand. Wow i can't even handle your comment.

I understand that you don't like this song but they can't stay in the same state of sadness in every album. Plus most of the songs from GS seem to have profound lyris (Always in my head, another's arms, O, etc).

There has been a lot of hype for this song, so of course people will judge this song specifically. The album isn't available yet, so we're only making judgement from what we've heard. For my part, at the moment, I am not fond of that song. It's my opinion. I don't think this song fits well with the rest of the songs of GS, but again, it is my opinion. Doesn't mean I won't change my mind. Doesn't mean I'm right either. I didn't like MX at first, but now I think its a great album. :)

Sadly, I agree with you. Since, its going to be a single, people are going to hate so hard. They already did for Midnight, so I can't even imagine what people will say. I understand if people don't like it, like me, or don't like other songs as well but when people say ''I miss the old Coldplay'' or ''Coldplay is trash now'' it just irritates me.

Thank you for your comment and I think you are right!! I'm just so excited for this album and have such high expectations but we all should give this song a chance and listen to it again.

may I ask what songs from MX you were referring to? Because I can't think of any. Even Paradise which is pop doesn't sound like that for me.

Arrghh I don't like it :( And I like pop music, that's the thing! I'm not close-minded and I listen to a lot of dance music but this doesn't feel right in the atmosphere of the album at all, IMO. I feel like this should of been a laid-back acoustic song or just a single but not with the album. I guess I can't do anything about it, just gonna skip the song or enjoy it as it is. But I can't get over it, because so far I love every song and think this album will be Perfect but this song ruins it for me. :(

Someone said on twitter that Avicii produced the track so... Idk if its true though :/
