I bought my first safety ep from a relative of Jonny. I didn't know them personally. It was great timing & pure luck. It has dedication on the cover, signed by both Jonny and Will. And this was during that very early stage...! My second one was bought at discogs through a reputable seller. He used to collect too, but it was time for him to sell them. Not all copies of Safety on ebay is authentic. A friend of mine did an extensive research on this. A phenomenal researcher he is! And few ones that got sold there aren't actually authentic. But some are! You really have to study it prior to just bidding... It's a hefty amount...! As for the blue room, my first one was from a record store ($4.50) years ago! Then I bought more on ebay, and another record store. :)

When I bought my Ode CD on ebay, the seller stated that he bought it in Camden UK. And he insisted on the legitimacy of his claim. According to him, the master was burned onto a CD. So, who really knows...?

Oh, there's also the Cd version of Ode to Deodorant here. Real or Fake...? Either way, It belongs to a vault of collection... And it is well taken care of. That's all that matters... :)

Years of research and sacrifice, my fellow coldplayer... It didn't happen overnight. It's worth all the effort and expenses...!

Note that the picture negative right on the middle is the one used for the french yellow promo cd. There's also Brian Eno's Oblique Strategies, Twisted Logic Tour itinerary, Rockin' on mag with Coldplay disc, Rush of Blood to the Head Mail Stamps, MTV hologram, etc.

Okay... After corresponding with more fellow collectors, we would like to think that the dutch promos are authentic - because all dutch promos that we have actually have the same print characteristics. So, let's proceed with our search for rarities, and continue with the expenses... Lol... Hope to see more collectors posting their collections.

Oh, when I stated "the one that came from other multiple sellers are very consistent with how they were manufactured"... I meant, they are all consistent with each other. The only different ones are from the seller of the supposed dutch promos. I hope that other collectors will also weigh in on this...

I ran away... The font was not really the determining factor for me. You will actualy notice that all european benelux promos uses the same font. This one follow suit the standard font for a supposed dutch promo. It somehow really raises a red flag because of how the printing of the curved text goes inward. The sad thing, is I went to check my vault of collection to find out that some of my supposed dutch promos came from the same seller and it was printed the same way. Literally, all that came from the "same seller" used the same font and manner of printing. All the other promos that came from other sellers looked different. I really didn't realize until now. Reading the reviews has been very revealing to me, as they have come from other collectors (not just of coldplay cds). The observations are the same, but from different people. This made me look at all my benelux promos. The ones that come from other multiple sellers are very consistent with the quality of how the disc was manufactured. Again, the sad thing is anyone can produce promo cds in their home now because of the advancement of technology and its accessibility to households. Even if you check the wav file, the quality can be perfect --- because it has been copied from the officially released album. So who really knows if what we have in our collections as promo discs are genuine...? The market now has been penetrated by pirates... That's the reality.

To be more specific, It's actually not just that it's a bit off-centered. The main thing is that the whole text is not consistently on the edge of the disc. The middle text are more geared inwards.

Okay... I ran away... A perfect example is the Up&Up Bemelux promo being sold on ebay right now. The listing ends tomorrow (Item no. 311648230077). Sorry, I'm using my phone... I can't paste a link. Check out how the curved text on the upper portion of the disc is obviously off-centered. No legit benelux promo has its curved text being ever off-centered. Also, check out the reviews for the seller. Buyers' testimonies cry out fake cds being sold repeatedly. There are poor four (4) bidders as of current. :(
