  1. Definitely... The only difference though is that if we rally into making the coldplay-con happen - our band will for sure be there... They are very down-to-earth people, who loves and appreciates their fans. But I know, it can be difficult to get that plan together. But hey, maybe one day... right? 2. No worries! There will definitely be a next time! Anyway, this may be a far fetched idea, but I would like to bring this concept out there... While I know that we all belong to different parts of the world, each state (or any feasible distance parameter) should set a day where coldplayers will meet and bring some of their prized collection with them, or merely just to have a mini get-together or mini-convention of some sort. Sci-fi fans have their comic-con... we should have our Coldplayers-Con... [emoji2][emoji1303] I know it's a tall order, but hey, just an idea. If it happens >>> Amazing!!! If not >>> we still have this site to communicate amongst each other. Thoughts? No answer or reaction can be wrong. Discussion is all for fun...! 3. First time accessing this thread via the tapatalk app... I hope I am also able to access pictures via this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Wonderful...! Again, kudos to all of you for making an international concept work...! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Quick question about the iranaway project. Are all contributors from the same place? Or did you all collaborated online? Good job at gathering coldplayers together for one common goal!
  6. Oh, I would like to clarify that I was just quoting from what our co-member mentioned before about having the most extensive collection together. It was more of a joke then with us. And I'm sure that it wouldn't have been. It takes a lot of us collectors combined together to have the most extensive collection. There are so many other collectors, both shared via this thread and some that are not so much into social media, that have incredible amount of items in their vault! My utmost respect to all veteran and new collectors. Each of our items make up dazzling representation/proof of Coldplay's amazing history/musical journey...!
  7. Hello there! I was just busy at work... but never really stopped collecting. It is a hobby that is I'm sure you all know by now is addicting, expensive, but more so fulfilling - in the sense that we are admiring genuine art here. And everything about it is authentic. Inspiring. Motivitating. Humbling. We are admiring a group of (once) regular men that we wished we would have been, in some ways... or what we would want our kids to become. I love my life, but wouldn't have minded having their ability to influence the world into making this world a better place... (Try to empty out the ocean with a spoon, yeah?...) Anyway, my collection since then have continued to grow from both ends of the spectrum... old and new stuff. As for our friend no1cpfan, he did ended up selling his coldplay items. Some on ebay, and the rest I don't know how. I bought some, and missed some intentionally - either because I already own majority of them, or just passed on the opportunity. Did I say this hobby can get very expensive? Together then, his physical collection and mine (if joined together) would have made the most extensive physical collection per this hemisphere - as he once described it to be. Not sure where he is now, but his collection did spread out to a lot of collectors. As to what brought me back here? It's just like leaving a place that you love for a while, but never really forgotten about it. A place where one day, you knew somehow you will always look back to.
  8. Good job at taking all the pictures of your collection!!
  9. I do collect all possible releases. But if some countries have the same exact track listing, and no significant difference at all on the cover or any other identifying detail - except for a different language on the disc, I don't buy them anymore. :)
  10. It was easy to miss the RSA promo of Sparks, because it looks totally the same as the other Sparks ep - until you see the code at the back! I have this in my collection, but I did not make it a goal to collect all RSA versions of the albums. I started doing it actually at some point, buying copies specifically that of x&y and rush of blood to the head whenever I see a slight difference in detail to its cover. I ended up with a considerably good amount of collection from those eras, which is not bad at all of course...! But I figured that if I do this with all albums, not only will it be impossible for me to literally own versions from all countries, but it will also in turn be a super expensive goal (more expensive than it already is now). I still do buy different versions up to now, but with a different level of criteria. Some of my criterias is based on personal liking, aside from hunting for the rare and colectibles...! Per my almost half year hiatus in this thread, I have a lot to read. I'm enjoying catching up!
  11. I asked mainly because they're coming back to the Rose Bowl in October. It's almost here! I wonder if someone that has close connection to our favorite band can facilitate a meet and greet for us collectors? We can also get to talk to fellow coldplayers & collectors in person. Set-up a little booth for Coldplayers! It's a tall order, I know...! But it would be wonderful if it happens. If not, at least I was just able to share my idea about it! Okay, back to our collections...! :)
  12. Oh my... long hiatus...! Nice to read amazing posts! By the way, anyone from or near Los Angeles here? Happy Easter!
  13. I understand how you feel about being an adult. It is pretty much universal wanting to be older when you are young, only to get stuck wishing for it to reverse (referencing Chris' lyrics here) once you've become an Adult. Yes, I still do very much enjoy the hunt...! It gets very expensive as you know, which makes it challenging whenever a good one pops out somewhere. :) But then again, knowing as well that it is virtually impossible to own everything, I do pass up some opportunities as I see fitting per the status of the finances... :)
  14. I just recently re-joined the forum as well. And, I too, post images of my collection so fellow collectors will know what other items exists out there that doesn't resurface anywhere for a while now. To have been collecting since the Parachutes Era gave you a superb edge in collecting promos that have only surfaced as each era were introduced. Are you still adding as of recent?
  15. Great job on taking time to organize your collection and take pictures of it. I find such task very challenging. I have only gotten as far as taking images of my AROBTH Collection. With as much as I already have, it's nice to know that there are still a lot to find out there. I know that we will never find everything... Which means the hunt will live forever. :) I see that you have a lot of what seems to be Australian & French promos. Amazing Collection...!
  16. The other one is the usual benelux version. I have that one too. No unusual characteristics with that cd. Same kind as the other Coldplay Benelux Ghost Stories promo. And yes, interestingly, they're coming from the same location. Must be a nice place to be in. They have Coldplay promos swarming all around...! :) :) As for the Dutch Promo and an existing legitimate one at that, the only one (option & probablity) in is the one you see on ebay.
  17. Hello again Nie! I am actually conflicted on this one more so because of the irregularity of the curved text on the top portion of the cd. Most legit promos have the curved text well approximated to the edge of the disc. But upon further evaluation of the quality of the audio per my utmost reliable researcher friend, it met the standards of a legit promo. And me, being a collector, will admit that I had to buy it to prove it. The problem with today's technology and the known fact that there's a lot of us collectors of coldplay promos is that some people make a full time business now of counterfeiting coldplay promos because they know that there is market for it. it's a difficult call whether to advise to buy it or not. The fact that the seller never runs out of it is more than enough to raise immeasurable intrigue. I guess we need more "Proof" (Lol...!) to fully confirm the legitimacy of this.
  18. Great Things Start From Small Beginnings...!! :) :)
  19. Hello there @mgmaurin...! The best researcher I have ever known... :) Truly... Yes, I started to post the collection recently. It actually gave me a chance to look through all of it as well (one by one) during the process of arranging them prior to taking the shot. Sometimes, I go - oh yeah, I actually have this. Sometimes, they stay in what I call "The Vault" and it stays there for the longest time. Now, they made it out and got rightfully/appropriately re-arranged. Through this channel - we are able to share with all our fellow Coldplay Enthusiasts about what other Promos are out there through the images. :) I did reference you here one time on one of my recent posts... And I am so glad that you joined the forum....! I genuinely say, that I enjoy this hobby on a much higher level since our collaboration...!
  20. Oh my...! Proof... One of my most favorite Coldplay track of all time...!! I would love to hear how it sounded during its debut on-stage... :) This is great!
  21. Oh, and yes, some cameo of non-AROBTH Era items...
