Coldplay plays Dublin on June 22. U2 plays Dublin on June 24 (snow patrol and Paddy Casey opening) and on June 25 with no opening bands announced yet. Coldplay's first announced date after Dublin is June 27. Wouldn't it be the best if Coldplay opened fer 'em? Couldn't get any better than those 2 bands playin' the same night.

Or Interpol and Coldplay.

I think it's not good Coldplay and U2 the same night, it's not the same if one night you "live" the experience of Coldplay, and the other night is for U2.

it would be like 1 continuous gig. the only different, is Bono would yap on about God, and Chris would Yap on about fair trade :D

I'm sooo jealous of u! :/ But this morning I was able to get tickets fer the October 16th U2 show in Philly so I guess I can't complain too much :D

I've got GA's for U2 in Dallas on October 29th and, knowing Coldplay should be in the States sometime around then, I'm scared senseless at the prospect of them being in Dallas on the same night.

 

A very small possibility, but one worthy of fretting over.

how much did you pay for those U2 tickets. I just paid 162 dollars for a ticket for the show in atlanta!

I originally could only get lower levels (160 a piece). I snapped them up as I thought it was the best I could get. I really wanted GA's though. I posted my plight on a U2 forum and sure enough, a woman in Louisiana wanted to trade my two lower levels for her two GA's. She's also sending me 200 dollars to cover the extra face value cost. So all in all, for two GA's, I spent about 130 dollars.

 

Not bad at all.
