October 10, 200520 yr Couldn't find a thread for it. What does everyone think about their TV show, and how they replaced Micheal Hutchence. Would any of you go to see them on their tour? I think they picked the right guy, he's pretty awesome.
October 11, 200520 yr We've had this discussion before. He ISN'T Michael Hutchence. He NEVER WILL be Michael Hutchence. This is a pointless exercise. INXS died with Michael Hutchence. Let it be!
October 11, 200520 yr nooo don't get a mod to delete! mark, mark, mark :dozey: relax my man  honestly, i had no probs with the show and enjoyed watching it. i loved marty though, but he didn't fit.
October 11, 200520 yr ^Well that's fair comment. I don't know "Marty". He might be a great musician etc. - but he ISN'T Michael!! ;)
October 11, 200520 yr Author think this is supposed to be a general inxs fans thread. yes it is, rockstar's over now anyway, I have always been a fan, even now I'll continue to be a fan, even though some people clearly are not!!!!!
October 11, 200520 yr Is this an inxs forum now? we only want to talk about inxs in this thread, there's no need to get all touchy. this is the 'world of music' section of the board which clearly is to talk about other music people are nterested in, this is not the coldplay section. there's no need to get touchy about it.

October 11, 200520 yr Author but they don't exist any more True, not the way they used to be. Wait and see what happens :)
October 11, 200520 yr Things have moved on. There are "new" bands like Coldplay now..............................their place has been taken. :)
October 11, 200520 yr i think too many people are bashing them already. give them a chance, i firmly believe that inxs shouldn't have died when michael did. inxs is inxs and let them carry on with a fresh new start.
October 11, 200520 yr It's true - they had their day. "They" won't ever reach those heights again...........................
October 11, 200520 yr Author No I think they will get big again, lot's of people watched Rockstar Inxs, and will be reminded of how they were.
October 11, 200520 yr and people who had never heard of inxs (which were alot) have now been introduced to their music and might give them a shot.
October 11, 200520 yr You actually think that rockstar inxs, the show and having a new lead singer is going to make the band popular all of a sudden and get people interested in them? Dream on. The show was a pile of horseshit and the band is going to be nowhere, they were done when Michael died. And touchy I will be if I find it fitting. :D

October 11, 200520 yr No I think they will get big again' date=' lot's of people watched Rockstar Inxs, and will be reminded of how they were.[/quote'] These kinds of shows (like Pop Idol) are notorious for pulling in loads of viewers, maybe getting some initial success for the end product, but ultimately proving to be a waste of time. The likes of "Suicide Blonde", "Mystify" and "Need You Tonight" were rock classics which will never be equalled by any band calling themselves "INXS" in the future. The new line-up might well have some limited success in Aus itself owing to all the publicity/hype, but this won't translate on a global scale as it did in the past.
