Featured Replies

mhh ... we have three weeks to read a book for german class. ...

the book has to be 100 years old ... or even older!

can you think of some books (except for the bible ;) and romeo and juliet)?

mmhh ... i thought about 'The picture of dorian grey' --- ....

ohh so you have to read a classic.

classics are ze bombb

i loved the picture of dorian grey

but i'd personally recommend pride and prejudice.

i LOVE that book.

ahh! right!

pride and rejudice ... that will impress my teacher ;)

it sure will and it's a fantastic novel. i loved it

mhh ... but is pride and prejudice that old?

i mean the book has to be published over 100 years ago ...

yeah it was first published in 1813.

that's nearly 200 years ago!

oh, alright!! so i know which book i should buy on tuesday!!

thanks a lot!!

but are there still other suggestions (but i guess i'll choose pride and prejudice) ...

haha im reading romeo and juliet right now.

shakespeare... ugh im having the hardest time

someone in my form already took romeo and juliet ... that's why i didn't wanna pick it ... :)

you are welcome

i'm trying to think of my other fav novels.

my other fav classical novel is dracula.

see but the thing is i don't think you would enjoy it as much if you don't actually study it in class or analyse it as such.

you're more likely to enjoy pride and prejudice if you are reading it/studying it on your own.

if you were to do a class novel where the teacher aids you in analysis, dracula would be better.

buutttt.

pride and prejudice would be better overall.

i think.

alright ... some bloke in my form took dracula anyway ... :dozey:

ahh i see.

damn.

well i'm off now, let us know which book you end up choosing ;)
